Mr. Macron and Mr. Erdogan has recently been embroiled in controversy over a number of issues

French magazine Shirley Abdo has published a caricature of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, warning angry Turkish authorities to take "legal and diplomatic action" against the magazine.

The cartoon shows the president of Turkey lifting the skirt of a woman wearing a hijab. It shows Mr Erdogan half-naked, sitting in a comfortable chair with a glass of beer in his hand and looking up at a woman's skirt.

Turkey's state media say the country's prosecutors have officially launched an investigation into the delightful periodical.

Tensions are running high in France and Turkey over President Emmanuel Macron's recent remarks on Islam and his pledge to take a tougher stance against extremists following the recent beheading of a schoolteacher in France for showing a cartoon of the Prophet of Islam in a classroom.

Mr. Erdogan called on the Turkish people to boycott French goods. Macron needs "psychiatric treatment".

After a teacher was killed for showing a cartoon of the Prophet of Islam to students in a school class in France. Macron has promised to protect secularism.
