The wildfires in the state of California in the United States have not been brought under control for the past few weeks. According to the National Inter-Agency Fire Center, 2 million acres of forest have been burned to ashes in California so far.

CNN reports that temperatures in California have risen to unbearable levels due to the fire. The fire service is still working to bring the fire under control. In order to prevent the fire from spreading to new areas, power supply has been temporarily cut off in those places.

According to the report, about 172,000 customers of Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) in 22 counties of the state have been without electricity since the night of September 6 due to power outages. The National Weather Service has issued red flag warnings in Ventura and Los Angeles counties. The meteorological department has forecast that the fire could spread further due to strong winds.

Fresno County Sheriff's Office Deputy Lt. Brandon Parcel said many people are trapped in the wildfire area. Arrangements are being made to rescue them by helicopter and bring them to safety. Many have already been rescued and placed in temporary camps. They are safe.

The rescue operation is still ongoing, Fresno Fire said in a tweet. The operation was launched on the night of September 6 to rescue 55 people trapped in Lake Edison and China Peak areas. But at first the expedition failed because of the thick smoke. Later the rescue work started again with the helicopter. More than 200 people have been rescued from the area in the past week.

The report added that Stanislas National Forest, Sierra National Forest, Sequoia National Forest, Inio National Forest, Los Padres National Forest, Angeles National Forest, San Bernardon and San Bernardine are at extreme risk due to this terrible fire. These forests have been declared temporarily closed due to the risk of wildfires.

Last August, a devastating wildfire broke out in Vacaville, California. At that time, a helicopter crashed while trying to put out the fire near the town of Kolinga. The pilot of the helicopter was killed.
