DSLR cameras have some basic settings, it is important to have a good idea about them before operating the camera. Even if you don't know these, you can take all the pictures in the A + mode of DSLR, which is called fully automatic mode. You do not need to change anything, your intelligent DSLR will automatically adjust its own settings automatically. This is a favorite setting for those who do not know how to operate a camera well or who consider themselves less intelligent than a camera.

But tell me how an instrument will understand the desires of your mind. If you need to acquire the ability to give instructions, then the camera will follow your instructions. Remember you bought the camera by spending money, the camera did not buy you. So to learn to use the camera as you wish, you must have a good idea of the following:

Aperture or F value

The first of the 3 most important things about the camera is the aperture or F value. Such as F1.2, F1.4, F1.8, F2.0, F2.8, F3.5, F6.0. With all lenses but the F value cannot be reduced arbitrarily. The ability to control the F value depends on the type of lens. The lower the value of F, the higher the price of the lens. It can be said that there is a lot of price relationship between F and Pumpkin. The lens with which the lowest F value can be used has a higher "bokeh" capability. "Boke" is a Japanese word, the English word for which is "Blur", which has the ability to blur the background while keeping the content of the picture in Bengali. As the value of F decreases, the blur of the background increases.

Lenses have aperture blades, expensive lenses have more of these blades. Having more blades means the background will be much more flexible, which is pleasing to the eye. The function of these aperture blades is to reduce the aperture value and open the lens more. On the other hand, the higher the aperture value, the smaller the face of the lens. Much like the picture below.

If you open the mouth of the lens more, the boke will be more, and if you open less, the boke will be less. But just as if you open the window more, more light can enter the room, in the same way if you open the mouth of the lens more or reduce the aperture value, more light will enter the picture. This method is very useful for low light areas.

Some modes are pre-set in the camera, which allows you to take great pictures by keeping the other settings of the camera unchanged and only increasing or decreasing the aperture value. The name of this setting or mode also varies from brand to brand. In Canon cameras it is called AV or Aperture Value. With this AV mode, you can take some deadly boke type pictures by keeping all the other settings right. Many people buy DSLRs just to take pictures of this type of bokeh.

Shutter speed:

This is the second of the 3 most important things about the camera. Many people know that pictures can be taken by controlling the shutter speed with a DSLR. But do not know the details of usage. So they don't even understand the fun of shutter speed. There is no jury in this setting to understand the situation and control the shutter speed to take pictures with a certain amount of light. The shutter speed for taking a picture can be 2, 3 minutes. Again, for a picture, it can be a fraction of a few thousandths of a second. For all cameras, there is an option to take pictures by controlling the full shutter speed in advance. Ake is called TV for Canon cameras.

If you enter this setting, you can only control the shutter speed, the rest will understand the situation and the camera will take action. Many photo clients use this setting in critical moments. It is simple and semi-automatic, so it is very easy to manage. Low or high shutter speeds can lead to poor image quality. If any camera or lens does not have Image Stabilizer / Vibration Reduction, then he must follow a minimum shutter speed for a good picture, such as my advice for taking pictures with the camera in hand is a minimum shutter speed of 1/60. You need to use a Tripod to take pictures at lower shutter speeds, otherwise you will not get the expected picture.

ISO:

It is not possible to get good pictures without good control over ISO. Because you can't take pictures in AV / TV mode, you must set ISO in the camera, the camera will follow your instructions according to ISO then the other settings will be fixed automatically. ISO refers to controlling the amount of light in an image. You have to fix the ISO value in advance to see what kind of light would be better in any environment in the picture. Cameras have ISO values ranging from a minimum of 50 to 102400 or less.

The lower the ISO value, the clearer the image, the higher the ISO value, the clearer the image. In the same way, the lower the ISO value, the less light will come in the image, the higher the ISO value, the more light will come in the image. So it was understood that you can take pictures by increasing the ISO value in a less crowded place but in that case the picture will be direct

Things seem very complicated at first, but after a while, everything will go away on its own. What I have said for so long will now be expressed in one word through a picture. One more thing, the more pictures you take with the camera, the more research you do, the better pictures you can take
