#YourSay What would be the most effective way to ensure you go out to spend post-pandemic?

In the UK, the government-funded Eat Out to Help Out scheme offered diners half-priced meals in August at restaurants and cafes, including those with Michelin stars, branded franchises and home-owned ones. In order to boost the #coronavirus-hit catering industry and bring it back to normal faster, the government had to spend 400 million pounds (567 million U.S. dollars), according to the Daily Mail. In the first two weeks of the plan, the number of people who dined out exceeded 35 million. And though it ended on Monday, some restaurants continued to offer the same discounts throughout September out of their own pockets.

Yao Yang, dean and professor of the National School of Development, Peking University, suggested China give out money directly when talking about consumption issues at Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Forum 2020 on August 29. His view was echoed by Wang Xiaolu, deputy director of the National Economic Research Institute. 🤔👉 Does your country have a corresponding policy❓ What would be the most effective way to ensure you go out and spend post-pandemic❓ #COVID19 #EatOuttoHelpOut
