Birds that never fly

When we talk about the birds,we talk about independent flying souls.

Birds are meant to fly.From the ancient time people are fascinated by the flying ability of birds.

They wanted to fly like the birds in the open sky.We imagined if we had wings we could fly independently whenever and wherever we wanted to.

Since then people invented a lot of things to fly in the sky.

We know a lot about the flying birds.But do we know that there are some birds that cannot fly?

There are some birds that cannot fly at all.As they can't fly in the sky,they have adapted to it.

Do you know that there are some birds that can fly a short distance?There are also some birds that can fly little. Chicken and ducks can fly some distance.

Why birds are able to fly?

Birds bone are spongy and filled with air.This gives them the flying ability.The flight less birds have the strong bone density.

Being able to fly,is the most important character of a bird.To save themselves from the ferocious animals,to adapt the weather change,to search for food it is mandatory to fly.

They can't walk that long distance.There is no alternative too.For this kind of reasons birds adapt themselves flying.

To fly,birds need a lot of strength. That's why there body becomes smaller.On the contrary birds don't fly,they store the energy in their body.

Their body becomes larger.There are approximately 60 species that cannot fly.Penguin, Ostrich, Emu are some of the examples of flight less bird.

Now the question is how flight less birds emerged?

If the birds don't need to fly,they will not fly that's the simple fact.If we don't feel hungry we will not eat.Same thing goes with the birds.

Scientist thought that millions of years ago,for this kind of reasons some birds lost their ability to fly.

Lets thought that "X" is a bird.It lives in an island.The island is full of foods no need to go outside for food.

The weather temperature all are suitable and there is no chance of attacked by the ferocious animals.So the "X" birds didn't fly for some generation.

For the million years of evolution,the bone density of birds become more thick.The flying ability of "X" birds completely lost in this years.

The upcoming generations of "X" birds will not be able to fly.

The evolutionists thought that,the birds that lived in an safe island without any disruption,they give away their ability of flying.

They continued living there for a generation after generation.But emerging of flight less birds aren't same for all.Birds that doesn't fly are heavy and big in size.

The World's biggest flightless bird Ostrich.They are 2.8 meters long and male ostriches weight upto 120 kilogrammes.It is quite impossible for lifting this huge weight.

Now let's give some examples of flight less birds and there bodily characteristics.

It will be more clear why they aren't able to fly.

Penguin:

First comes the name of penguin. They live in the cold areas of Antarctica.They swim in the cold water instead of flying.Very amazing thing!

There are 18 species of Penguin in Antarctica and none of them can fly.Insted of flying,they use their wings to swim. A penguin passes his whole life swimming.

Some penguins also also live in Galapagos Islands.They are four feet in length and have very small foots.

There walking style is very eye catching.They live mostly on fishes.

Ostrich:

Now let's talk about our second flightless bird.We all know about ostriches.

It is said that ostriches not only fly they are the king's of flight less bird.They are very strong.

Though they have a enormous giant body there eggs are also enormous in size.

There legs are the greatest strength.They can run super fast.

As they have enormous body,it is impossible for them to fly.But they have adapted with it greatly.

When they are running they can reach upto 73 kilometres per hour.If they are attacked by the enemy they can attack with their legs too.

The ostriches have super eggs too.

Ostriches mainly lives in Africa.Some of the species also live in Australia.

Kiwi:

Kiwi,a very beautiful small bird mainly living in New Zealand. The native people of New Zealand are also called by the name "Kiwi".

They have hidden wing and light feather.They are very cute to look at and very adorable.

Though they lay very small egg but in comparison with the body length it is huge and hold a world record for that too.Very amazing this bird.

For the tourist ,Kiwi bird is one of the most attractive bird.

Steamer duck,Weka,Cassowary,Emu are some of the examples of flight less birds.

This beautiful birds live all over the world.But this beautiful birds are at the risk of extinction.

As the climate change, scarcity of food,human habitation are ruining this birds future.

If we don't take any drastic steps to save this birds now,we will lose this birds forever.
