An Enemy With Many Faces
Humanity is facing an enemy that it can be said that everyone has heard and that is that in 1 Peter 5:8 we can see that Satan is after us, wanting to steal the full life that God offers us.
We must not allow ourselves to be trapped, be alert and prepared, because it is something that is known by all. His strategy is to create a situation where we give in to sin and leave us there without being able to get up.
“He showed me the high priest Joshua, who was standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan was at his right hand to accuse him. And Jehovah said to Satan: Jehovah rebuke you, O Satan; Jehovah who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you. Is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? And Joshua was clothed in vile garments, and stood before the angel.” (Zechariah 3:1-3)
The adversary was the one who attacked Joshua for his mistake, he wanted to see his defeat and in the Bible we read several times that he is the one who accuses us before God.
It is necessary that we remain alert, because he will come disguised as many things, things that sometimes we even like, but that will bring us an end of misery and condemnation. According to our weakness, so will be the face that he shows.
The only way to avoid falling is to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to us what our walk is, about what the Lord Jesus taught: "And when he comes, he will convince the world of sin, justice and judgment." (John 16:8)
If we recognize that we have sinned or that perhaps, even being Christians, we find ourselves immersed in the situation, we must repent and ask for forgiveness before God. We can get back on the right path and not give in to satan's stratagems if we take hold of the hand of Jesus Christ, not one day but always.
You have a great title there, and it was indeed that enemy comes in many faces and so do temptations. That is why it's terrifying to think to be happy always because in some point when we are in our happiest moment those are the times where we easily feel tempted
