Dream State

In my dreams do I feel truly safe

For when I’m awake, do I have to face the day’s fate

I heard demons crawl in at night

I’d say I come face to face with mine each morning by the wash basin

Purple visions on starry nights help drift me to a safer place

For with my eyes wide open and my mind intact, I just might end up in Ward C.
