Culled from my book, Of Courage, Conquests & Crowns
You recognize greatness by her words.
Hers, are words of power
She doesn’t do chicken talk
But eagle exploits
Her mind combs the earth in search of the possibilities
She also seeks a match showdown
With the most apex of predators
Her heart is not a synagogue but a temple
The type kings like Solomon build
On her altar
The lavish of a thousand burnt offerings
Mediocrity is slain in her and
Burnt outside her city walls
For with her, gold is normal
Orderly arrangement of things paramount.
Splendor a lifestyle and
Opulence a garment decked
In sweet simplicity
In her, Life is precious
And humanity sacred
Humility to be honored
And endeavor to be celebrated
In her kingdom
Small talk, side talk and gossip is punished
For everyone to mind their turf
And be better for it
Her kids are clothed in fancy
In time her sons ride off to war
They are taught the dignity of equality
And equality of humanity.
