Shiba Inu memecoin announced NFT Collectible Card Game
Shiba Inu, cryptocurrency known to be a “memecoin” or a simple joke, announced the launch of its collectible NFT card game.
“Shiba Eternity” is the name of this Shiba Inu project, developed in conjunction with the Australian company, PlaySide Studios.
In a tweet published this Monday, August 01, Shiba Inu showed the logo of the game, which will be available in the official Android and iOS stores.
The game is scheduled for release in September and is currently undergoing a series of tests to meet the stipulated schedule.
Shiba Eternity: will it be a play to Earn?
Details about the game have not yet been revealed, however, on Shiba Inu’s Discord server, specifically on the channel dedicated to Shiba Eternity, they reported that the game will feature 10,000 Shiboshi heroes and “amazing visual effects”.
The Shiboshis will be collectible NFT cards. They will serve as playable characters in the future of Shiba Eternity.
One of the developers of Shiba Inu, Shytoshi Kusama, showed a preview of the gameplay by posting information on Twitter with the design of some of the cards that will be used.
For this 2022, the Shiba Inu team expects to make 3 releases. Shiba Eternity seems to be the first one, while the other two are a metaverse and Shibarium, a protocol to which the SHIB token will be migrated and which will continue to work on Ethereum but with reductions in transaction fees.
What has happened to the price of Shiba Inu?
The downtrend in the cryptocurrency market this year also affected SHIB.
After reaching its lowest price of the year in June 2022, SHIB has remained in an accumulation zone with maximum fluctuations of 20%.
According to CoinMarketCap data, Shiba Inu is positioned as the number 15 cryptocurrency, with a market volume of over $6.5 billion.
