If you want to spend some time in Europe comming to Germany could be a great choice. 🧳🛫🇩🇪👋 You can drive over to all these different countries by car or train in no-time. Even by plane is super cheap. Also no passport or visa is required for entering because of the European Union. Here it's normal that people are driving over to the Netherlands, France, Poland etc. for a weekend trip. For example from where I live it's only a ~2 hours drive by car to the Netherlands. Maybe Germany is seen as a lame country, but you can use it as a central point of exploring all these different countries.

Lame? No, I am fascinated by Germany because of your folklore, particularly Grimm's fairytales and you have lots of castles still existing today. Ain't Snow White also from Germany? ❄️🍎
Oh, I see!! Yes. Snow White is also from Germany. I never thought about it before, but you are right that somehow many fairytales come from Germany... 🤔😲 Yes, there still are tens of thousands of castles here. On social media I often see Germany being hated by many because of what Germans did during WW2. In general I don't think that Germany has a good reputation.
Depends on what histories people are looking, WW is really remorseful but what comes to my mind when I hear Germany or when someone mentions Germany are..fairytales.
Hm. I see... Btw. in general many fairytales are about the German forest. Back in the days it was seen as a mystical place and was an "inspiration" for these I think... Many of these fairytales are pretty dark too and not like the ones Disney decided to animate...
I like dark fairytales, I'm actually looking for Grimm's fairytales book with original stories. I like the eerie feeling and the mystery, the horror. What is shown in Disney is far from the original folklores.
Not sure if it's creepy to you but as a kid I had so many nightmares about this one. It's called "Die Gänsemagt" ("The Goose Girl") also by Grimm. I found scary that the girls horse got killed and the head got nailed at the wall of a gate where she has to pass every day. And the head of the dead horse was talking to her...
It's creepy but there's more..I think I have watched it in the TV when I was 12, it's also from Grimm's fairytale and it is unfiltered. I can't believe they show it on Philippine TV. I don't know what the title but it's about a princess who married a prince, she got lavish life but there's one room that he forbids her to enter. She must not dare open that door but due to her curiosity, she looks for the key and to see what's in it..and when she opened it, it was full of blood and corpses. I think the prince was trying to kill her because she failed the test..which is the ability to trust, just like any princess before she didn't trust the prince. It still creeps me out. Edit: The princess was able to escape in the end and burned the palace. This story is not really even for children.
Oh... That's on another level. That's like a horror fairytale... So scary...
