Figure skating is the most elegant form of sports. Imagine both male or female skaters dancing gracefully as they slide through the ice (although it is not actually made of ice nowadays). It is the most spectacular kind of sport included in the Olympics.
But what if they will add this as a plot in an anime?
And that is why they make the anime "Yuri on Ice". It is an anime made by MAPPA Studio and aired on October 5, 2016 and Created by: Sayo Yamamoto and Mitsurou Kubo.
It is a story of Japan's most promising figure skater, Yuuri Katsuki who's Reeling from his crushing defeat at the Grand Prix Finale. His defeat puts him hiatus as he gains weight.
But one day he found hinself again under the spotlight as his video performing a routine previously executed by five-time world champion, Victor Nikiforov, suddenly goes viral. And Victor himself approached him offering to be his mentor.
What will be the Movie all about?
"Yuri!!! On Ice the Movie: Ice Adolescence" Its story will be all about Victor Nikiforov. The official plot is still unknown but most likely, it will be about the teenage life of Victor Nikiforov.
Just look at that trailer. No wonder it received the "Best Animation" award in 2017. This movie will be definitely in my watchlist.
The official released date is still unknown but you can expect it at least in late 2021.
