Fate Anime series is one of best series out there. It has a unique plot, good characters and have the best animation.
But how come it is not as popular compared to other famous mainstream anime nowadays?
One reason for this is people tends to get confused on what order on how will they watch the series. There 14 known Fate/ anime names out there so it is normal for people to get confused on what order to watch.
But first, what is this series all about?

Fate/ or originally Fate/Stay Night is a Japanese Adult Visual Novel developed by Type-Moon and originally released for Windows on January 2004.
It covers the main storyline of the series, which is the story of the protagonist Shirou Emiya. Its plot is all about the Holy Grail War where mages summons a historical hero known as "Servants" to fight each other and the last remaining Servant and Master has a right to obtain the "Holy Grail" and grant any wish they want. Emiya Shirou along with his Servant, Saber also known as Artoria Pendragon (Based on King Arthur) has given a chance to compete in holy grail war to achieve his dream to become a Hero of Justice.

People are confused whether they watch Fate/Stay Night (2006) or Fate/Zero first. Actually when you follow the proper chronological order of the series, Fate/Zero is the first and you can choose from 3 Fate/Stay after. But in my opinion, Fate/Stay Night (2006) must be the first. It gives us a great overview about the plot and they explain the concept of the holy grail well.

Actually I'm not also sure about this one. Fate/Grand Order is a great anime but it has so much fan service. They didn't follow the Visual Novel properly and skipped some singularity because Babylon, Camelot and Solomon singularity is the most voted by fans and chosen to get an anime adaptation.

This is an alternative settings of the Series. They have their own storyline but the plot is still the same. You can actually watch them after Fate/Stay Series because it is not connected to main storylines.
Fate/ series must be confusing to watch but trust me, you'll love this series.
