My Top 10 Male Anime Characters

Male anime characters must possess charisma and have perfect sense of justice. They must also execute proper judgement and think critically in times of disaster.

In this list, these are my Top 10 Male Anime Characters. They possess things what it needs to be a good character in anime. They have achievements and personalities that are unique to them, and thats why I like them. Their ability, power level or standing in society do not affect my ranking.

10. Ginko (Mushishi)

Ginko is the main protagonist of the anime "Mushishi". He has a calm and serious personality. He care for the wellbeing of both mushi and humans thats one of the reasons why I like this character. He is neutral and doesn't resort to force or violence. He can resolve the problems without someone getting hurt. His ideals and personality is what I really love about Ginko.

9. Khun Agueno Agnes (Tower of God)

At first, I find Khun as selfish and manipulative like other royal blood in anime. But the later episodes in anime and their story in manhua, I can see how well developed this character is. Despite of his family standings in tower, he can lower his pride just to protect the people he consider as friends (Especially Bam). Of course he's still manipulative and resort to cheap tricks but he will never betray his comrades.

8. Erwin Smith (Attack on Titan)

The respected commander in survey corps. With his great leadership skill, he will even sacrifice his men and his self just for the sake of mankind. Even with the guilt and burden left to him by his fallen comrades, he carried it with pride and keep fighting for humanity's sake until the last minute of his life.

7. Gilgamesh (Fate/ Series)

I originally hate this character in Fate/Stay Night series. He is arrogant and cocky, thats why I'm surprised on his character in Fate/Grand Order. He is actually a great king. He can protect and care for his people while keeping his pride and image as a great king.

6. Yahiko (Naruto)

People may know him as "Pain", but what I mean is the real and alive one. He is the original leader and founder of Akatsuki. I really love this character in Naruto. He got ambition, charisma of a leader and he cares for his friends. He is one of the characters in Naruto who seeks true peace. Too bad he might die and they use the group Akatsuki in evil way. Either way he is still one of the best character in  this anime.

5. Lelouch vi Britannia (Code Geass)

This character is really something. He is smart and wise. Some people may call him selfish and arrogant for he may use and sacrifice other people just to achieve his goal. His true objective is to overthrow the government and seek revenge to his father who abandoned him and his sister as well as finding the killer of his mother. Lelouch may use cruel way but he is willing to be called evil just to find justice.

4. Hikigaya Hachiman (Oregairu)

He is my most favorite character in Rom-Com anime. He is not acting stupid like the most Rom-Com protagonist and not that overly genius that gets annoying and unrealistic. But what I love in this character is he is willing to sacrifice his pride just to help the person he care about. It's okay that he's the one who get hurt instead of other. And of course the story will never gets anywhere if he stays the same. The way this character develops in the entire anime is really good that you might find it realistic and relatable.

3. Grimmer Wolfgang (Monster)

I love the story of this man. If you watched the anime "Monster" Perhaps you know what I'm talking about. I even like him more than the main character. You'll never expect about his life story behind that smile of his. The best side character in anime.

2. Okabe Rintarou (Steins;Gate)

The greatest self proclaimed mad scientist. His suffering is intense but he never quits just to protect someone. I love his dellusional and being weird personality. He may be look weird in front of other people but the truth is he is just weak and suffering. But instead of giving up he just walk forward and do his best in order to fix his mistakes.

1. Sakata Gintoki (Gintama)

And of course it should be obvious who is my favorite anime character. Gintoki is just a whole package character. He can make you laugh, he can also make you cry and sometimes you can find him cool. I like how this character make everyone laugh. He also care for his friends even though he is mean to them. But overall this character is just hilarious.

And here it is, My Top 10 Male Anime Characters. I just look up to them and their beliefs and sometimes I can saw myself in their characters.
