Spirited Away is a Studio Ghibli anime films which took the highest spot in anime industry as "The Highest Grossing Film" In japan. This anime is released in Japanese theater in 2001 and dominates anime industry since then as it gross ¥30.8 Billion in Japan alone. It also surprised the world as it won Oscar's Academy Award as The Best Animated Picture Film as well as 58 other Local and International awards. Other says that it is equivalent to Disney's classic masterpiece "Snow White". This anime is Truly a Masterpiece.
But will it go down to its throne?
After 20 years this anime is in threat for its number 1 spot. As the newly released anime "Demon Slayer: Mugen Train" is breaking record one by one from its released date. Currently at the second spot as it surpasses another Award Winning anime masterpiece "Your Name" . Currently it gross ¥25.2 Billion and on its way to overrun Spirited Away.
