Today is the 74th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a visionary and strong leader of the country.
He was born on 26 September 1948 in Tungipara, Madhumati, Gopalganj. He is the eldest son of the great architect of independent Bangladesh, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa and President of Bangladesh Awami League.
Although he has been in the United States for the past few years to attend the UN General Assembly, he is still in the country due to the Corona epidemic.
He has participated in the 65th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) this year through virtual means. In this high-level virtual session, he highlighted the Rohingya crisis and various issues, including the global distribution of the cost-effective Covid-19 vaccine.
Following in the footsteps of her father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Prime Minister addressed the UNGA General Debate on Saturday, September 26, with the participation of other world leaders.

Sheikh Hasina is serving as the Prime Minister of the country for the fourth time. Under his leadership, Bangladesh is advancing in every index of the economy. He has introduced Bangladesh to the world as a role model. He has also been praised by world leaders for suppressing terrorism and militancy. Rohingya Muslims fleeing ethnic violence in Myanmar have been praised around the world for their shelter. He has taken Bangladesh to a unique height.
In addition, under Sheikh Hasina's leadership, sustainable economic growth, food self-reliance, women's empowerment, agriculture, education, health, rural infrastructure, communications, energy and power, trade, ICT and SME have achieved tremendous success.
