Subject: Does 'pig' make the face unclean for 40 days?
Allah Ta'ala created man only for his worship. He created all other creatures for the service of man. Among the millions of creatures, the 'pig' is a creature created by Allah Ta'ala. Allah Ta'ala also created pigs for the benefit of human beings.
There is a saying in our rural areas. Of course, it would be wrong to talk only about rural Bengal. Many well-educated children living in cities or suburbs also nurture the belief that once the word 'pig' is uttered or brought into the mouth, the face remains unclean for 40 days.
The funny thing is, I've seen a lot of my friends use the word 'eat kachu' instead of the word 'pork'. They believe that saying 'pig' does not defile the face, but saying 'eating kachu' does not defile the face. Hahaha!
However, the Qur'an-Hadith is a far cry, there is no evidence in favor of it in the three boundaries of Islam! And a very interesting thing is that in Ramadan, wherever Tarabeeh is performed in the whole country, everyone recites verse 183 of Surah Baqara. Then he recited verse 3 of Surah Maidah. Both verses contain the Arabic word 'khinjir', which means pig! Besides, the word 'Khinjir' has been used in many other verses. These verses have to be read every year.
Now, if we take their words correctly, then by reading this verse, the faces of all the Hafez of Bangladesh have become unclean. As a result, none of them will pray for the next 40 days if they pray with an unclean face! In other words, no one's end Tarabiha is pure! Maajallah (may Allah forgive).
On the other hand, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) often recited Surah al-Baqarah and al-Maa'idah in the prayers. So if he keeps his face unclean for 40 days for every time, then he has spent his whole life with unclean face. Naujubillah! But such a belief is in direct conflict with faith.
Osman (may Allah be pleased with him) used to recite one Qur'an every 7 days, and the other Companions also used to recite the Qur'an frequently, so the above calculation applies to them as well. Astagfirullah!
Have you ever wondered how believing in a superstition can destroy your faith in the blink of an eye? How deep can its effects go?
May Allah Ta'ala give us all the correct understanding of the religion, Amin.
