It is not unknown that "Plastic" harms our environment. Every year we produce 300,000,000 tons of plastic and 50% of that is single use of plastic we use. We use it once for a few seconds we throw it away and it stays in the nature for hundreds of years, in the forests and in the oceans causing harm to everyone.

On-the-go life styles require easily disposable products, which increase the amount of plastic usage or plastic pollution. And the best way to solve this pollution is Plastic Recycling. There are various projects around the world for plastic recycling. Some famous projects are:

A chemical engineer named Sharon Barak after years of research and hardworking made a unique product that looks like plastic and also functions like plastic, but is not really plastic. The specialty of this product is its dissolution in water which may keep our environment cleaner. Different types of bio-degradable plastic bags are being produced.

In Singapore they make their plastic trash disappear in a day by burning them and producing electricity from the power that is created from fire used in burning process.

The most exciting one of it is that our plastic waste can fix our roads. By processing plastics we can turn them into tiny pellets which is used in making asphalt, which is a cheaper way in road construction.

Now edible six-pack rings are made from wheat and barley to cut off plastic pollution and also can save marine life.

There is a another project known as Okeanos. This project is producing packaging from calcium carbonate which is the most common and limitless on earth.

Recently we have all noticed a video viral on a whale that dies after eating plastic; it badly touch es everyone's heart. But is this what we need? Is it the solution?

No. We all need to come forward and work against plastic pollution with one motto:

"Use Less Plastic"
