Microsoft is expanding its Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscriptions to include Microsoft Defender for Individuals.

Microsoft is making another part of its growing family of "Defender" branded products broadly accessible today, June 16. The newest addition, dubbed "Microsoft Defender for Individuals," is intended to help safeguard families with devices other than Windows PCs.

Users who own third-party antivirus solutions such as Norton or McAfee will be able to view the status of their protected devices via the dashboard.

Defender for Individuals is designed to give customers a unified dashboard for controlling and monitoring their online security status across PCs, Macs, iOS, and Android mobile devices.

Microsoft is encouraging certain customers to participate in the product's beta test in order to offer input on planned features such as identity theft protection and secure web connections.
