Since I started The Write Practice a few years ago, I’ve been trying to wrap my head around this question, how to write a good story. I’ve read books and blog posts on writing, taken classes, asked dozens of authors, and, of course, written stories myself.

তখন আমি সিলেট বিভাগের জেলা ছাতকের খাদ্য অধিদপ্তরের কর্মকতা। আমাদের অফিসটা ছিল সুরমা নদী কোল ঘেষে। গাছগাছালী ঘেরা ছায়া মনোরম এক পরিবেশ । আমার অফিস থেকে একটু হেটে কিছুদুর গেলেই সুরমা নদীর পাড়ে ঘেষে একটা শশ্মান। ঐ শশ্মানে একটা মানুষ
দেশ স্বাধীন হবার কয়েক বছর পরের ঘটনা। ভাদ্র মাসের শেষ সময়। পুরো এলাকা তখনও বন্যার পানিতে তলানো। পানির উপরে ধান গাছ মাথা উঁচু করে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকায় পুরো মাঠ ধনক্ষেত বোঝা গেলেও পানির পরিমাণ বোঝা যায় না। দিগন্তজোড়া সবুজের সমারোহ হলেও সবুজ ধান গছের নিচেই এক বুক, এক গলা পরিমাণ পানি। পানি কমতে শুরু করেছে। পানি কমার কারণে প্রচুর মাছ ধরা পড়ছে। আমরাও মাছ ধরার জন্য ধান ক্ষেতের আইলে চাঁই পেতেছি।
আমাদের বাড়ির পিছনে ছোট নালার মত আছে। খুব গভীর নয় আবার সমতলও নয়। নালাটি উঁচু জমি থেকে এক হাঁটু পরিমাণ নিচু। বর্ষা শেষে এই নিচু জমি দিয়ে উজানের পানি নেমে যায়। বাড়ি থেকে তিন চারশ’ গজ দক্ষিণে এবং রাস্তা থেকে পঞ্চাশ গজ পশ্চিমেই বড়ই গাছ। এই বড়ই গাছের তলেই কয়েক বছর আগে আয়তন নেছা সন্ধ্যা রাতে জ্ঞান হারিয়েছিল। যে কারণে এই বড়ই গাছকে সবাই ভূতুড়ে বড়ই গাছ হিসাবে জানে। বড়ই গাছ থেকে পশ্চিমে নালার অপর প্রান্ত পর্যন্ত পুরো নালাটিই বাঁশের বানা দিয়ে ঘের দেয়া হয়েছে।
প্রায় দুই থেকে আড়াইশ গজ বাঁশের বানার মাঝে মাঝে দশ পনরো হাত পরপর চার ছয় ইঞ্চি ফাঁক রেখে সেই ফাঁকের মুখে একটি করে চাঁই বসানো আছে। ভাদ্র মাসের শেষ সময়ে চাঁইয়ে প্রচুর মাছ ধরা পড়ছে। বড় বড় রুই কাতলা চাঁইয়ের ভিতর আটকা পড়লে বের হওয়ার জন্য দাপাদাপি করে চাঁই ভেঙ্গে ফেলে। দিনে বড় মাছের শব্দ শুনলে তাড়াতাড়ি গিয়ে চাঁই ভাঙ্গার আগেই মাছ উঠানো যায়। কিন্তু রাতে পাহাড়া না দিয়ে ঘুমিয়ে থাকলে অনেক সময় মাছ চাঁই ভেঙ্গে বের হয়ে যায়।
একদিন জন্তুরা সকলে মিলে বাঁদরকে তাদের নেতা নির্বাচন করল।
শেয়াল বাঁদরের কাছে এসে বলল, “তুমি এখন আমাদের প্রধান, আমি তোমার সেবা করতে চাই। এই বনের মধ্যে এক জায়গায় আমি গুপ্তধনের সন্ধান পেয়েছি, চল আমি তোমাকে দেখাব।”
বাঁদর খুব খুশি হয়ে শেয়ালের সঙ্গে চলল। শেয়াল বাঁদরকে এক ফাঁদের কাছে এনে বলল, “এই সেই জায়গা। তুলে নাও সব, তোমার আগে আমি কিছু নিতে চাই না।”
বাঁদর যেই না ঐ ফাঁদে তার থাবা ঢুকিয়েছে অমনি সে ধরা পড়ে গেল। তখন শেয়াল ছুটে অন্য জন্তুদের কাছে গেল এবং বাঁদরকে দেখিয়ে বলল, “দেখো তোমরা, এমন নেতা নির্বাচন করেছ যে কিনা ফাঁদে ধরা পড়ে এমনই তার বুদ্ধি।”

হলো শুধ্যতম ভালোবাসার একটি চিন্হ।
সবাই ভালোবাসি মুখে তো বলতে পারে না।
কিন্তু , সবাই অপেক্ষা করে সেই পবিত্র ভালোবাসা

Have the central idea in your mind and convey it right at the beginning. A lot of times the central idea is conveyed right in the first sentence. “Oceans are slowly becoming human dust-bins.”
Once the statement of your main idea is out there, you will be explaining or providing validation points. This way, your main idea isn’t hanging loose. This is going to make sure how the reader is going to interpret the main idea, because of you leading them to it.
This is where the writer explains the focus point. “Garbage in the ocean comes from trash from trash cans, the streets, and landfills that gets blown into sewers, rivers, or directly into the ocean. The trash makes its way into storm drains. Trash travels through sewer pipes, into waterways, and finally into the ocean.”
Use an Example
Examples always clarify without explanations. People understand better when you give them something to relate to. They provide the necessary evidence or support required to prove our central idea. “A new study – based on what researchers called a mega-expedition to the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in 2015 – suggests there is about 16 times more waste than previously thought floating there. The mass of waste spans 617,763 square miles(1.6 million square km), about three times the size of France.”

The coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic is the defining global health crisis of our time and the greatest challenge we have faced since World War Two. Since its emergence in Asia late last year, the virus has spread to every continent except Antarctica. Cases are rising daily in Africa the Americas, and Europe.
Countries are racing to slow the spread of the disease by testing and treating patients, carrying out contact tracing, limiting travel, quarantining citizens, and cancelling large gatherings such as sporting events, concerts, and schools.
The pandemic is moving like a wave—one that may yet crash on those least able to cope.
But COVID-19 is much more than a health crisis. By stressing every one of the countries it touches, it has the potential to create devastating social, economic and political crises that will leave deep scars.
We are in uncharted territory. Many of our communities are unrecognizable from even a week ago. Dozens of the world’s greatest cities are deserted as people stay indoors, either by choice or by government order. Across the world, shops, theatres, restaurants and bars are closing.
Every day, people are losing jobs and income, with no way of knowing when normality will return. Small island nations, heavily dependent on tourism, have empty hotels and deserted beaches. The International Labour Organization estimates that 25 million jobs could be lost.
আমরা খ্যাতিমান হতে চাই। কিন্তু খ্যাতির জন্যে নীরব সাধনা ও প্রয়োজনীয় কষ্ট স্বীকার করি না। ফলে সাধনাও হয় না, খ্যাতির শীর্ষেও পৌঁছতে পারি না
