Kaliphae and I, are both getting ready to leave the EU. The increasing restrictions and regulations have made it inhabitable for a creative couple like us. The situation was already no longer welcoming before the Plandemic struck and has dramaticially deteriorated as we seem to be moving towards an orwellian paradise.
This has set off our inner alarms, nudging us to begin selling off what little we have to budget our great prison-break escape. We have taken the time to setup our online-shop/presence so that these elements will hopefully be able to support us with a small passive income as we give up the sedentary lifestyle and go into full nomad mode.
I personally have been living off 350 euro a month in the expensive Luxembourg. Which is literally just survival money here. I have the chance that I was able to live at home up to now, because the minimal costs to rent a place are not far off from the minimum wage. Even health insurance which was something everyone was covered with here in Lux just a decade or two ago, is something both of us no longer have since we are not able to afford it in our situation. (To be honest not such a big deal since I personally have had only bad experiences with the medical establishment throughout all of my life)
We decided that building a life and a future here is not conducive to our well-being nor is it aligned with our values and integrity. While it was a great place to grow up, it no longer feels like home, far from it. We both are seeking to surround ourselves with people and places that promote a sense of peace, creativity, inspiration, independence & innovation. We have been selling off whatever little we have, to collect the funds for our travels and to have a little bit of savings aside so that we are covered for the first couple of months on our travels regarding our most basic needs.
Our only plan is to get out of Europe and hopefully targeting Mexico as our first stop. We will be looking for alternative and local communities which we will planning on visiting in exchange for our help and hopefully learn valuable skills and insights that will help the both of us in giving us a clearer vision of what we would like to build together in our life. With all of the uncertainties globally and also not being in the position to even consider our own home unless we want to enslave ourselves to a crazy loan, we have decided that the most enriching option we can take is to take a chance on living a minimalist nomadic lifestyle.
We do not wish to follow in the footsteps of those that are currently seen doing digital nomadism, but rather we are hoping to make this nomadic journey an initiation into a new way of life for ourselves. We are looking to stay away from big cities and are more interested in investigating alternative and more traditional ways of living, also since we value promoting sovereignty we want to share & inform the people we meet about the options at their disposal digitally to actually make use of our technological tools to empower themselves instead of being exploited by them.
Some ideas were to exchange our knowledge of Cryptocurrency and decentralized finance with those we meet along our way. Inform locals about possibilities to market their products or blog about their communities on decentralized networks like BCH/Hive and help educate them about the western business models of exploitation and slavery so that they may not be fooled by cheap offers by big monopolies who keep making profits from local producers, by being the middleman who exploits their lack of understanding.
Also planning on taking our little perfume laboratory with us on the road, so we can continue offering those on our online-shop and also with the hopes of being able to meet local producers of rare natural ingredients on our travels, helping to bring attention to the producers and also sharing those ingredients with the world through our perfumes.
This idea of a nomadic life for an indeterminate duration has largely felt possible due to my own battle with trying to gain an understanding of the financial world and my own finances, slowly making sense of it all and realizing how Cryptocurrency and its proper use can actually be a very empowering tool. It is empowering to know I can take my funds with me globally anywhere. Just put your assets on a wallet, and it is with you stored on nothing but a short list of words. Setting up our shop to accept only Crypto has also made it possible for us to get rid of all the middlemen that usually are necessary to pass through to make and receive payments. A load of payment, processing and listing fees that fall away. And once decentralized hosting becomes a better option, even "hosting" a website will become something that is affordable to everyone at way lower costs than today.
These tools that we are building today, have given me the confidence that I actually do not need to be subscribed to all the monolithic corrupt insitutions/services offered to me by the big corporations or the state today.
There are tools being born that allow us to opt-out from the way of life that is imposed on us by those that do not have our best interest in mind. And it is time we begin making full and proper use of the tools at our disposal to participate in the shifting of power back to the people.

The funds will be used to pay our tickets, cover some initial travel insurance, buy a laptop to be able to be digital and manage our online-store/blog while we travel, also pay for efficient luggage gear(hiking cart) so that we can take our perfume laboratory with us, and a tent for those moments where we might not find any accommodation, and whatever is leftover after that is to cover our basic needs for the start of our adventure.
I thought I would take the time to make this update and let people know what is going on, haven't posted much lately since all of our energies have been flowing into getting everything ready that needs to be done so that hopefully by September we will be on the road. But certainly by the time we are on the road, Hive will be seeing a lot more from us, since we are planning on sharing our adventure and the insights we gain from it with you all. And to bring Read.Cash/Hive and Crypto in general to more people in areas of the world that can appreciate the empowering tools it provides IF used properly. Owning one's own private keys, using decentralized blockchains, not leaving assets on custodian exchanges, using DEX, DEFI and Privacy Coins instead of CEX, LeverageTrading or Surveillance Coins.
Also we have been looking for ways to get to Mexico and only options are by Plane or Boat, and so we are giving a shoutout to anyone reading this that might know someone or who themselves has a boat that might be able to take us from EU to Mexico/South America around september?
