Google has updated the Maps service, along with the Google Assistant Driving mode, to help customers with more information on the epidemic.

The number of Google Maps subscribers has crossed 100 crore. The search engine giant US on Monday updated Google Maps to help these customers.

Business Insider reports that the updated Covid layer of Android and iOS will soon show more information, the total number of patients identified in that area, and links to Covid information.

"Based on real-time data from Google Maps customers, on Android and iOS, you can see how crowded the bus is or what the traffic is like on the subway," said Dan Glasgow, head of product at Google Maps.

Google claims to have helped nearly one million subscribers with important information about Covid-19 through Google Maps since its launch.

Google has also introduced a feature to know the news of food takeout and delivery orders on Android and iOS Google Maps. The company has recently launched the feature in the United States, Canada, Germany, Australia, Brazil and India.

"Now you know when to pick up food or when it will arrive at your door," Glasgow said.
