There are many wonderful phenomena that have characterized the globe from its brightness to its west, some of which are something normal and some that may surprise you when you see them, and among the strange natural phenomena the presence of some deep and beautiful holes in a way that made them a tourist attraction. Let's discover it together.

It is believed to be the largest marine crater in the world, 125 meters deep and 300 meters wide, that arose due to an increase in sea level from about 65,000 years ago. Its shape, close to a full circle, has achieved great popularity among tourists, especially for divers who come from all parts of the earth to explore its depths. Divers are also attracted by the various rare animal species and life forms that can only be found here.

2- The Diavik Diamond Mine (Canada).

Opened in 2003, the diamond mine is about 300 kilometers (186 miles) north of Yellowknife, Canada. It produces about 8 million carats (3,500 lb) of diamonds annually. The mine is very large and the area so remote, as it has its own airport to accommodate a Boeing 737 aircraft.

3- Gate of Hell (Turkmenistan)

In the heart of the Karakum Desert in Turkmenistan, the Gate of Hell gives off a glow that can be seen from miles away during a dark night, the smell of burning sulfur can be detected from a distance and becomes very strong as you are near the hot edge of the crater. The Gate of Hell came as a result of the Soviet exploration for natural gas in the year 1950, and the hole is about 60 meters long and 20 meters in diameter.

4- Glory Hole, Monticello Dam (California - USA)

The Monticello Dam, located in northern California, is the largest waterfall in the world. Glory hole is used when the dam is at full capacity and needs water to drain from the reservoir. It is also swallowed at a rate of (1370 cubic meters / second). About 700 feet deep and 72 feet in diameter, its water empties through enormous concrete pipes.

5- Bingham Canyon Mine (Salt Lake County, Utah, USA)

It is considered the largest of the holes made by man on Earth. Home to the Kennecott copper mine is the largest open mine in the world. It can be easily seen due to the many multi-colored layers, and the outcrops on the Oquirrh Mountains, it is 2 and a half a mile long, three quarters of a mile (1.2 km) deep and covers about 7.7 square km or about 1900 acres.

The Kennecott mine is owned by the Rio Tinto Group and is the second largest producer of copper in the United States providing nearly 15% of the nation's copper needs. The mineral was first discovered in Bingham Canyon in 1850, but it wasn't until 1863 that its exploitation began.

6- Mirny diamond mine (Siberia)

It holds the title of the largest open diamond mine in the world. It is about 525 meters (1,722 feet) deep and 1,200 meters (3,900 feet) in diameter, and is the second largest man-drilled hole in the world, after the Bingham Canyon mine. The airspace over this mine was closed, especially to helicopters, due to the intake of air in the mine, which led to the occurrence of crashes of aircraft inside it.

7- Kimberley Big Hole (South Africa)

It is one of the richest diamond mines in the world, and this hole is considered the capital of the diamond industry in the world. It is about 1100 meters deep, 30,000 workers dug it and removed 28 million tons of dirt, resulting in 14.5 million carats of diamonds. This created the largest man-made hole in the world.

8- Chand Bauri Well (Rajasthan, India)

Built in the 10th century, it was a practical solution to the area's water problem. The arid climate forced locals to drill a reliable deep hole, about 30 meters deep, and 13 floors. Some Indian myths say that some ghosts built it in one night, to make it impossible for anyone to retrieve a single coin that fell into a well.

9- 200 feet long stream (Guatemala)

This scene occurred after a 200-foot-deep sewage sink was punctured and swallowed up a three-story building. Torrential rains, mudslides and high winds swept through Tropical Storm Agatha, Guatemala City, as the city sank more than 3 feet of torrential rain. Agatha is the first named storm of the 2010 Pacific season.

A hot spring, the lake is one of Yellowstone Park's lakes with a beautiful blue color surrounded by a yellow ground edge. Tourists go to it to enjoy its appearance. And sometimes a hot spring of water rushes towards the sky, and this usually happens after earthquakes.
