Importance of Spending time Alone

Life is too precious to be idled away in lethargic existence and in useless ventures.For me life is an interesting adventure worth living.I enjoy every bit of my life and enjoy things around me such as,beautiful landscape,budding flowers,green scenery,wonders of science seen in different forms,marvels of city life,the leisure of free time etc.Though much of my daily life is routine based,yet the variety and diversity of daily existence make my daily life an exciting adventure.

'Dont confuse loneliness with time by yourself'

Being lonely hurts,it can even negatively impact your health.But the mere act of living alone with oneself doesnt have to be bad,and experts says it can even benefit our social relationships,improve our creativity and confidence,and also helps us regulate our emotions so that we can better deal with adverse situations.

Choosing to spend time doing things by ourselves can have mental,emotional and social benefits but the key to reaping those positive rewards come from choosing to spend time alone.

In a culture where we often confuse being alone for loneliness,the ability to appreciate time by ouselves prevents us from processing the experience as a negative thing.In fact,getting better at identifying moments when we need solitude to recharge and reflect can help us better handle negative emotions and experiences,like stress,and burnout said by Emily Roberts a psychotherapist.

Make time for 'Me Time'

When it comes to health and happiness,different people have different needs.But there are some universal truths.We all need the basics of sleep,physical movement and sufficient food.And to thrive,most require quality time with people,time in nature,time for spiritual connection and time doing something that brings joy.Take a moment to define what we need and what we want.

It's not easy to be able to sit alone with your thoughts for extended periods of time,but at an age when social connectivity is the constant,its imperative for our mental health to frequently unplug.

We need to give ouselves the time we deserve to be with our mind,to look within and engage in a meditative experience.We can sit in silence.We can journal or plant our week ahead,Also can go for a walk in nature.

I mostly have my time alone while having my cup of coffee,that's when i have my mind clear and thoughts about myself,past and what better to do in future.

Do you also have your own time? Where we learn more about ourselves and become more aware of our emotions.In short,it's the best form of self-care.
