the Day of Resurrection, Allah will say:
“O Son of Adam! I became ill and you did not visit me. He will say: O my Lord, how could I visit you when you are the Lord of the worlds? Allah will say: Do you not know that a servant of mine was ill and you did not visit him?
Don't you know if you went to see him, you would have found Me with him?
O Son of Adam! I asked you for food, but you did not give it to me. He will say: How can I feed you my Lord. When you are the Lord of the worlds? Allah will say: My servant asked you for food, but you did not feed him.
Do you not know if you had fed him, you would surely have found that (the reward for doing so) with Me?
O Son of Adam, I asked you for water, but you did not give me water. He will say: How could I give you water my Lord, then you are the Lord of the worlds. Allah Almighty will say: My servant asked you for water but you did not give him water.
Do you not know if you had given him water to drink, you would have surely found that with Me. (Muslim)
The Holy Hadith under study which was narrated by Imam Muslim (RA) in his Sahih with reference to Abu Hurayrah (RA). It acquaints us with the spirit of Islam and its religious conception.
It is a matter of the Day of Judgment, but sickness, feeding and watering are all worldly matters. And Allah, the Lord of Glory, is addressing the Son of Adam by quoting them.
It is also clearing that in the Holy Hadith, Ibn Adam does not refer to any particular person but to every person who has been deprived of these general virtues in the world.
In our religion, compassion, sympathy, self-sacrifice, tolerance, love and helping each other in times of need, helping each other, sharing sorrows and sharing joys and pleasures, and other high morals are the status of fundamental values.
He has also told us that the path to the pleasure of God Almighty comes from within the service of His servant. No one denies the importance of beliefs and worship. But matters and ethics are also carry great weight in the balance of justice. On the Day of Judgment, they will be of great value and will play an important role in the happiness of man.
In the hadith under study, the conversation between Allah Almighty and the servant which has been narrated by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the kind of questions and answers, and their explanations are very eye-opening and also fascinating.
What is the significance and position of a poor servant that the Creator is calling his illness is his illness, his hunger is his hunger and his thirst is his thirst.
Saying: O son of Adam, you were so helpless that I fell ill and could not come for help. I'm hungry, I asked you for food. You became so stingy that you did not give food. And yes I was thirsty, I asked you for water, you couldn't even give me water.
It is actually a metaphor for the fact that man is so narrow-minded and hard-hearted that he does not good in times of need. What does it costs to visit someone and how much time is spent, nothing but a person cannot go to take care of his brother, friend or neighbor under the pretext of his nominal engagement. He does not know how precious this seemingly small act is.
The nature of Allah's speech clearly shows that it is not a matter of any professional. It is a matter of a class of people whom man knows well and still ignore their needs and Despite his ability, he withdraws.
Let us then return to the words of the Holy Hadith. When God speaks to the son of Adam about his illness, hunger and thirst, the wise man will answer him. My Lord, You are the Lord of the worlds. You have to heal all the creatures. You give food and water to all the creatures. How are you sick, hungry and thirsty?
Dear listeners! Now the answer that is coming from Allah Almighty is worth listening to with full attention.
Allah Almighty will say: O servant, if you went to the sick person of a person like you who was ill, you would find me with him.
This means if you had a heart of stone in your chest and did not come to visit my servant considering him inferior, then it was a matter of your vessel, I was with him. Allah u Akbar, in this sentence there is a great comfort for a sick man if he thinks that he is not alone, his Lord is with him, he is not helpless, he has great support.
And yes, look, if you fed and watered this hungry and thirsty man, you would see that i was still with my servant at that time.
What happened after this conversation? There is no mention of this in the Holy Hadith, because in fact it is an allegory in which the importance of the helpless is made clear.
Man understands how such a weak, destitute and thirsty man can be of any use in dealing with them.
It is a thought that has the poisonous germs of arrogance and pride of wealth behind it. To eradicate them, the poor, the destitute and the helpless people of the society can be of great help and support, so, they should not be considered as helpless in any way. These opportunities are often found in life. It is not wise to dismiss them as trivial.
The day of judgment is going to cost them a lot. Don't be a cause for regret. A sweet talk to the sick and a snack and a sip given to the hungry and thirsty can be a sign of eternal bliss and a sign of success.
Keep asking Allah Almighty for help for this
Great
