As soon as Mother Teresa heard the word, a narrow-bodied old woman in a special white dress with blue fringe floated in front of her eyes. The hazy eyes inside the room were still quite bright. Seems not age; Instead, he is tired of working and is bent over. We all know this woman whose name is permanently associated with the word 'Mother'. But how much I know about him. Today we will learn about his life and philosophy. The story behind this deed was not very simple, even though he worked till his death as an ambassador of good deeds and humanity. His life also had many twists and turns like a novel. But despite all this, he left the country and ran after peace. And today's writing is about him.

He was born on 26 August 1910 in Albania. Although he was Albanian by descent, he was an Indian Catholic monk. Nun Teresa's only occupation was humanitarian work. From a young age, he dreamed of doing something for everyone. He wanted to establish that the weak and the poor should not be left behind for their money or strength. But his dream was not as faint as ours. The goal of his dream was to establish peace in the whole world. Mother Teresa's father was involved in Albanian politics. But teenager Teresa was never influenced by her father's profession. In 1911, when Teresa was just eight years old, her father died tragically. After her father's death, her mother, Teresa, became interested in Catholicism. And began to nurture its ideals. He was so impressed that four years later, at the age of 12, he decided to become a religious monk. But he did not just work with Catholicism or Christianity. His purpose was human service. Here he did not discriminate any religion. And so even today people of any religion all over the world remember his name with reverence.

The life of a nun
Leaving home at the age of eighteen, Teresa joined the Sisters of Lerota as a missionary. One can keep track of the fact that he never met his mother or sister until after his death.

When she was sworn in as a nun in 1931, her name was changed to Theresa or Teresa, after Therese de Lisieux. Earlier his name was Agnes Ganja Bayaju. She learns English at the Lerota Abbey in Rothfarnham, the only Indian medium of instruction for the Sisters of Lerota. Which was a missionary learning center in Ireland. She took the final oath to become a nun when she was studying at a Lerota Convent School in Calcutta.

He was having a good time at school in Calcutta. But the extreme economic downturn in Calcutta and the poverty of people of different walks of life made him think. Because he left home to serve the people and lived in a country so far away. So there is an intense desire in him to do something for these endangered people. But as easy as it was to think, it was much harder than it was to take shape in reality.

With his age and ability, he could not solve anyone's distant danger. Moreover, the division of religions also seemed to be a big screen here. Extremely indescribable sorrow descended on Calcutta in the late fifties. So that many people die. Hindu-Muslim riots in 1947 claimed many lives. These events had a profound effect on Teresa's mind. The latent good energy of his mind, which was born in his childhood, slowly began to awaken.

Most of the people in India are followers of traditional Hinduism. And Teresa or Teresa was a Catholic Christian. But Mother Teresa beautifully proves that religion or any other division in good deeds does not actually create any obstacle or that human religion is the real thing. Teresa founded a charity that was hard to imagine at the time.

Service for all
The day is September 10th. 1947. Mother Teresa was on her way from Calcutta to Darjeeling to live in a religiously secluded place. At this time a deep realization in his mind suddenly moved his conscience. In this regard, he said,

Leaving the convent and living among the poor on their own and helping them was an essential responsibility for me. It was a direct order for me. Failure to comply with this order is tantamount to breach of trust. "

Mother Teresa called the experience of that deep realization in her mind ‘the call within the call’.

Two years later, in 1948, he began his missionary work among the disadvantaged and the poor. Just then he gave up all traditional habits. She chose a simple white cotton dress with blue edges. When we hear the name Mother Teresa, the clothes we think of her are the same. Then fortunately he got Indian citizenship.

At that time he started working in the slums. His career began with the establishment of a small school. Later he continued to work with the starving and destitute. His activities then came to the notice of various high-ranking Indian and administrative officials. The then Prime Minister himself was the mother of Mother Teresa

Provided distortion.

However, the early days of Mother Teresa's work were not pleasant at all. At this time he used to write a regular diary. The diary reveals the real picture of these days. As it was written in his diary,

“Our lord wants me to be a free nun covered with the poverty of the cross. Today I learned a good lesson. The poverty of the poor must be so hard for them. While looking for a home I walked and walked till my armns and legs ached. I thought how much they must ache in body and soul, looking for a home, food and health. Then the comfort of Loreto [her former order] came to tempt me. 'You have only to say the word and all that will be yours again,' the Tempter kept on saying… .. Of free choice, my God, and out of love for you, I desire to remain and do whatever be your Holy will in my regard. I didn't let a single tear come. ”

He went door-to-door to arrange food for the poor and starving or to provide shelter for the homeless. He collected money from rich people himself. He used to face various obstacles while doing these things. Sometimes he was frustrated, sometimes he was lonely or he had doubts. He also thought that it would be better for him to leave all this and go back to the previous convent. He wrote these in his diary at different times. Yet he was steadfast in his honest courage.

He received permission from the Vatican to hold a rally on October 7, 1950. Which is called ‘Diocesan Congregation’. It was this gathering that later made its debut as its own charity. Which is Mother Teresa's famous 'Missionaries of Charity'. About this Teresa said,

Its mission is to care for the hungry, the naked, the homeless, the crippled, the blind, the lepers, all those [eople who feel unwanted, unloved, uncared for throughout society, people that have become a burden to the society and are shunned by everyone. ”

Missionaries of Charity
Mother Teresa started her missionary mission of charity with only 13 members in Calcutta. At present more than four thousand people are working under it in various ways. The charity includes orphanages for the underprivileged and rehabilitation centers for AIDS sufferers. All over the world, the charity is working tirelessly to serve the refugees, the visually impaired, the elderly, the paralyzed, the poor, the homeless, the drug addicts, the famine victims and those affected by the epidemic.

In 1952, Mother Teresa opened the first shelter and service center for the dying in Calcutta. With the help of Indian administrative officials, he turned an abandoned ancient temple into a shrine for the dying. He named it 'Kalighat Home for the Dyeing'. However, it was later renamed 'Nirmal Hridaya'.

Anyone who was destitute and disadvantaged could come here for services. They were treated as much as possible. The facility of observing all the rules according to religion before death is also developed there. For Hindus there was a bath in the Ganges, for Christians there was a Last Right facility and for Muslims there was an opportunity to pray or recite the Qur'an. Mother Teresa says a beautiful thing about this. Which is,

‘A beautiful death is for people who lived like animals to die like angels loved and wanted.”

Shortly afterwards, he opened a service center for lepers. Which is named ‘City of Peace’. These were the internal initiatives of Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity. It has also set up Hansen or leprosy treatment centers in several remote areas outside Kolkata where services have not reached.

This is about the sick. The missionary also raised children. At one time the number of children was seen to increase day by day. At that time, Mother Teresa set up a separate home in 1955 called 'Nirmal Shishu Bhavan' to serve children only. It is said to have been a paradise for orphans and homeless children.

Gradually the popularity of this charity continues to grow all over the world. And through this, the activities of the Missionaries of Charity of many donor organizations in the country and abroad began to come to the fore. This saves a lot of money. By 1360, a number of charitable medical centers were being set up all over India under the auspices of the charity established by Mother Teresa.

Finally, in 1375, a center was opened in Venezuela for the first time outside India. Which was founded with only five sisters. And so it gradually began to spread to different countries. Following this, charities opened in Rome, Tanzania and Austria in 1986. In the 1360's, dozens of charities sprang up in Africa, Europe, America, and Asia.

Criticism of good deeds
How is it that there will be no criticism of good deeds! Discussions also began with Mother Teresa's outstanding work in human service. Critics of Mother Teresa, however, were able to present very little evidence. The British Medical Journal and The Lancet, a fairly popular magazine, questioned the quality of Mother Teresa's medical services. Many have spoken of using the same needle more than once in injections. The quality of life of the centers is also criticized. But these were as huge as Mother Teresa's human service.

Acquisition

Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her dedication to the humanitarian service, including the treatment of the sick and the infirm, the provision of housing for the homeless, and the care of orphans. The following year, in 1960, Mother Teresa received India's highest honor, the Bharat Ratna. Mother Teresa was also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1975 and the Balzan Prize in 1986, respectively.

Death

In 1973, Mother Teresa had her first heart attack on her way to Rome to meet Pope John Paul II. Six years later, in 1989, he suffered a second heart attack. Then an artificial pacemaker was implanted in his body. Two years later, in 1991, while living in Mexico, he contracted pneumonia and his heart condition worsened. He resigned as head of Missionaries of Charity, his own charity. But at the request of the sisters, he agreed to remain in office.

The disease did not seem to be leaving him. He contracted malaria in August 1997. As a result, the ventricle of his left heart became unable to carry blood. On March 13, 1997, he completely withdrew from Missionaries of Charity. Mother Teresa died on September 5 of that year.

Amiya Bani

Some of the words of those who are indomitable are immortal. Mother Teresa is no exception. The courage of his honest work has made him indomitable and extraordinary. Below are a few words from his cocoon

"Not all of us can do all the big things, but we can do many small things with a lot of love. ”

Mother Teresa also told people about love,

"If you go to judge people you won't have time to love"

At the time of Mother Teresa's death, the number of Sisters in the Missionary of Charity she founded was four thousand. He was accompanied by three hundred other Brotherhood members. And then the number of its volunteers worldwide has exceeded 100,000 million. Through these people, charity work is being conducted through 610 missionaries in one hundred and twenty three countries all over the world. These missions still treat people suffering from AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis. There is no Mother Teresa. But Mother Teresa has survived in thousands of charities in 123 countries around the world. He showed us how to sacrifice oneself for good in the midst of thousands of adversities.
