Going home and teaching students is undoubtedly a big responsibility. However, many important experiences can be gained through this work which cannot be done from any other part-time job. While it is the responsibility of a teacher to impart knowledge based on the subject, there are many important non-subjective strategies, methods, ideas that can be used to expand the scope of their knowledge by teaching students. In many cases, it is not possible to become a good teacher just by giving subject based education. In order to be a good teacher, each student has to be evaluated separately to awaken the latent talents of the students. Evaluating students individually can lead to the development of thinking as well as the emergence of consciousness in them.
Let's learn about the things that need to be done to be a good tutor.
Have a clear idea about the needs or requirements of the students.
Listen carefully to what they already know.
When you first meet them or read to them first, listen to what they already know without saying anything. Ask them out well if they are no longer absorbed in the connection. Give him the opportunity to speak openly about the subject. This will make your students feel acceptable and increase their self-confidence.
Ask them where the problem is
The student is well aware of his weaknesses. He knows that he could not answer any quiz in the exam and he could not understand any lecture in the class. Explain well what he did not understand. If necessary, you can take the help of examples.
Work together to set goals
Set some main and secondary objectives centering on the specific time. For example, if a student is weak in numbers, he may not be able to overcome the weakness in a month. Then take a 3 month program. After 3 months, he will surely overcome his weakness and move towards progress. The secondary objectives have to be taken for a short time and the main objectives have to be taken for a relatively long time. The main and minor objectives can be recorded on a piece of paper if the student so desires.
Identify student progress
Make a list of how the student is doing in class and in the quiz, whether the results have improved than before. Here are some of the ones I found to be interesting:
Quizzes and test grades
The overall result of the class
The goal set by the two together is edited work
Your assessment on the efforts of the students
Students' ability to understand lessons, your ability to accept
Appreciate them for their good results, success. This list will keep him away from frustration if a student does not achieve the desired result despite many efforts.
A little discussion of what was taught in the last chapter
Before moving on to a new chapter, you need to keep in mind whether the student has mastered the previously taught chapter or lesson. Only by asking him one or two important questions will you know if he understood that chapter or lesson. If his weakness remains in the previous lesson, you should briefly explain it again.
Collaborate on homework assigned by the class
If the student informs you of the project, assignment, handwriting from the class, you can assist him in that task. The work of each project can be done easily by combining the two. You do not have the permission required to post. You just give directions. The student will do the work himself.
Provide opportunities for success
If you go ahead with your goals, finish each lesson correctly then it is normal for you to have high expectations from the student. But if the student does not do as well as you expect, give him another chance. If necessary, give the opportunity to practice difficult chapters, maths, topics again and again.
Need breaks
Give your student a five minute break in between teaching. Continuous study can put stress on the head. So a break is needed. A five-minute break will help him freshen up and help increase concentration.
Follow the method as the student understands
Not all students understand in the same way because not everyone has the same ability to understand. Some students understand very quickly, while others do not. Follow a different approach for those who do not understand. If a student understands through drawing, then do so, if he understands through video drawing, then understand through it.
Establish good relations
Build a personal relationship with the student
Your job is to educate the student. In addition to teaching, you can build a beautiful relationship with him. If you have a good relationship, you can inspire him to do better. Sometimes your own failure and overcoming itNosiness, positive thinking and increasing interest in work despite any uncertainties. Overcoming storms, obstacles, adversities, many virtues have succeeded in the ages and you too must endure all adversity and move forward on the path to success.
