What happened a few days ago, shows us with a finger in the eye, where drug addiction can take people! Perhaps he can no longer be called a man. The divine is the great proof of it. After such a big event happened, we uh-uh for a while, the news media jumped like us. Then we unknowingly forgot everything (this behavior is inherent in us, which we always do).

I was shocked to find the information! I'm sure after knowing everything you will say, we don't really have time to sit still.

5% of the total population i.e. 230 million people are addicted to various drugs. One out of every three drug addicted men in America is addicted to illicit drugs which is one out of every ten men in India or Indonesia. The United Nations estimates that 200,000 people die each year as a result of drug abuse. The number of drug addicts in Bangladesh is also increasing at an alarming rate. According to a survey, this number is more than 6 million. Finding the right number in the survey is often difficult and drug addiction is an ongoing process. So it can be assumed that the number does not stop here at all.

People around the world use a variety of drugs, such as cocaine, marijuana, yaba, alcohol, hallucinogens, opium and sleeping pills. Among the young people in the country, yaba is the most attractive for various reasons, its easy carrying capacity, easy availability, small and attractive size, are considered as the reasons.

Physical and mental health risks

Probably a factor as to why they're doing so poorly - and why they're doing so poorly. It is possible to reduce the attraction towards drugs by informing them about the harmful aspects. Drugs are so harmful that their harmful effects are felt in every part of the human body from head to toe. The liver is the main organ of our body's metabolism. Various drugs, alcohol cause extensive damage to the liver. Fatty liver, jaundice, and even liver enlargement can lead to severe and debilitating diseases called liver cirrhosis. This disease increases the risk of premature death. It can even lead to liver cancer, which is the only cause of death.

Problems like heartburn, gastric ulcers increase, pancreatitis can occur in the pancreas or inflammation of the pancreas which is very severe. If not treated at the right time, it can kill the patient. Drugs also play a role in cancers of the respiratory tract, esophagus, colon or colon. Drugs have a detrimental effect on the kidneys, such as increasing the size of the kidneys, disrupting the balance of kidney hormones, and contributing to kidney failure.

It could be dementia or amnesia, or even a stroke. Depression, anxiety, emotional turmoil, insomnia, lack of concentration at work all combine to make a drug addict very mentally disturbed.

Currently, the widespread use of yaba demands to write about its harmful effects separately. Yaba has a stimulating power and lasts a long time, which is why addicts like it more than cocaine. Playing yaba increases temporary pleasure and excitement, irritability, insomnia and aggressive tendencies or desire to fight, loss of appetite and nausea, sweating, redness of ears and mouth, and desire for physical contact. However, all this is a matter of a few days. Increases heart rate, respiration, blood pressure and body temperature. The tiny blood vessels in the brain are severely damaged, and in some cases they rupture and start bleeding. After a while, Yabasebi's limbs trembled, he felt insane, hallucinations and paranoia. When hallucinations occur, the patient sees upside down and hears noises. And as a patient suffering from paranoia, many are hostile to him. They often fight and terrorize

Likes. Some people have increased body temperature, convulsions. Yaba addicts suffer from irritability, unreasonable anger, vandalism, nervousness. Memory declines, indecision begins, and some people develop symptoms of schizophrenia. Many go crazy. Depression is a disorder that is affecting more and more people. Many die from heart infections or ruptured blood vessels in the brain. Many died in road accidents. Some stay awake for seven to 10 days in a row, then usually die in drug overdose.

Socio-economic detrimental effects

When a person becomes addicted to drugs, it causes various economic, family and social harms. In a poor country like Bangladesh, where the population is more than it can handle - poverty, unemployment, lack of jobs, corruption, political instability, economic stagnation, murder, terrorism and thousands of other problems are haunting people. Get up in a hurry. Physical, mental, family, social, religious and political damage as well as the economy of Bangladesh is being ruined. If the illegal use of drugs in Bangladesh can be prevented, about 30 thousand crore rupees will be saved in the national budget every year. An information that comes out while calculating the damage caused by drug addiction, which can change the economic appearance of Bangladesh. Can boost a catastrophic, devastating economy.

In order to raise money for drugs, drug addicts get involved in bad deeds like theft, robbery, smuggling etc. Family unrest, fights, vandalism are common occurrences in these families. This harmful effect of drugs has spread beyond the social and national boundaries to the international level. In short, its socio-economic effects include smuggling, foreign exchange smuggling, imbalance in international trade, rising medical spending, rising financial bankruptcy, rising poverty spending, higher human resource development and export losses, rising legal spending, and black money. Excess and inflation can be talked about thousands of such problems. After a little effort, a difficult and terrible situation is observed in this regard.

Terrible drug cycle

This drug gang is very active and powerful all over the world. Some countries are so powerful that they have declared war on the government of that country. An excellent example of Colombia. In our country too, it is often seen that the drug gang has attacked the law enforcers and the protesters.

In terms of location, Bangladesh is close to the world's three major opium and opium-producing regions and has been heavily affected by dangerous drugs in several neighboring countries. Due to its location, Bangladesh has been used as an international drug smuggling route for almost three decades. The lion's share of the world's poppy is grown in three major regions of Asia, namely: (1) Thailand, Laos and Burma - at the border junction of these three countries, known as the Gold Triangle. (2) the Golden Crescent region with Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Turkey and (3) the Golden Ways area along the Indo-Nepal border between the two regions.

Internationally, the international trafficking ring has been using Bangladesh as a corridor for drug smuggling since the fifties. Two issues prevailed among the drug traffickers behind choosing Bangladesh as a drug trafficking corridor. The first is that the major drug producing regions of the world such as Golden Triangle, Golden Crescent and Golden Wage are neighboring Bangladesh. Moreover, Bangladesh has easy communication system. The second reason is that Bangladesh has long been free from the production and widespread use of narcotics, leaving the functions of the International Narcotics Control Board and beyond their suspicions. Drug dealers and smugglers have been able to take full advantage of the opportunity. However, at present there is some control over the activities of the law enforcement agencies.

What we have to do:

Mass awareness is the best way to overcome this problem. It is the responsibility of the government to conduct all anti-drug activities. But our responsibility is no less. Because this drug addict is me, you or our children. On the one hand, a drug addict is causing economic loss in various ways, just as he is unproductive, that is, he is not participating in any production. Now our work is probably two 1. It is seen through awareness that no one is addicted to drugs again and breaking the drug cycle means prevention. 2. Rehabilitation of those who are already addicted to drugs means rehabilitation.
