People are always running after happiness. People accept so much hardship to catch the happiness bird of their life. He continues to move forward in his life by constantly fighting a kind of war. But happiness does not always catch everyone. Because life is made of a mixture of happiness and sorrow. There are some things we can never take for granted. Which makes you feel unhappy. But there are some things that are in our own hands but we do not think of bringing happiness in our lives by changing them. We forget about all these deeds which are constantly snatching happiness from us. It is entirely up to you to change all these things and not be happy. We do different things every day in search of perfect happiness. But have you ever wondered if you are doing injustice to yourself every day because of this khaj?

Feeling responsible for everything

Life will be full of dangers, happiness, sorrow, success and failure. But one should not think of oneself as the cause of everything. When you are failing or under stress for some reason, naturally you will think first of all that everything is happening because of yourself which should not be at all. This work will completely destroy your confidence. This will not give you peace of mind at all. And you will never taste happiness in life.

Running after fulfilling the dreams of others

Children often look at their parents' faces, think about them, give up their desires and run after their dreams. But how accurate is this work? Every human being has his own thoughts, an entity of his own. When one's own will dies, what is done by looking at the face of another is just a farce. And success in that endeavor comes too late. So don't run after fulfilling the dreams of others, present your dream in front of everyone. Explain to everyone. This will not take your happiness away from you.

Going to find the perfect thing all the time

Nothing in this world is perfect. Running after something that is absolutely perfect is a waste of time. Apparently, if something seems perfect at all, it is certainly not perfect at all. Give up the hope of getting the perfect job, the perfect man and the perfect life. Be content with what you have. You will find peace of mind by doing this.

Repeatedly bringing the past to the present

As the saying goes, ‘the past is a beautiful place to visit but it is foolish to want to stay there’. Of course, in order to learn from the past, you may think of some events of the past, but it is just foolish to bring the past to the present again and again. This will ruin your present. Happiness will be lost from life.

Thinking too much about the future

There is a proverb, ‘Thinking of the future is the work of the wise’. But one more thing should be added to this word. That is, thinking of the future is the work of a wise man if it is a positive thought. If you want to think about the future, just think of the end. Because what will happen in the future, how it will happen, what will happen if there is any problem, all these negative thoughts will completely destroy the happiness of the present.

All that is written in this article is my own idea and I cannot guarantee the accuracy of all the facts used here. If there is a mistake in any fact, there is a request from everyone to correct it. And I welcome any logical comments against my idea.

Happiness. I do not know exactly what this word is. Maybe the word ‘happiness’ can be used. But the meaning of this word is a bit distorted. Whatever the Bengali meaning, everyone is familiar with the word happiness. The goal of almost all of us is to achieve happiness. This is the main goal of life, especially for atheists (although I have no evidence to support this view).

But what is ‘happiness’? Is happiness not just an emotion like sorrow, anger, joy or pain? Of course happiness is just a feeling, the sum of at least a few feelings. So why is the price of happiness so much higher than all other feelings? Another thing that should be mentioned earlier is 'emotion'. What is emotion? In the view of biology, emotion is created for a special kind of reaction in our brain, and it is actually nothing more than a chemical reaction in our brain. So what is the function / need of this emotion? From the point of view of evolution, it can be seen that emotion has played a major role in the survival of human beings (and all other animals as well). Fear keeps us away from unknown and known dangers. Love helps build our society and family. It is a pity we do not do it in the future. Here it is seen that we use emotion as a tool. This tool has evolved over millions of years to sustain our existence. Happiness is no exception, happiness is a tool like all other emotions. We are motivated in the future to do all the things that make us feel happy. That is why it is unreasonable to call happiness a goal. Running after happiness is irrational. Rather ‘happiness’ is just a ‘tool’ to achieve any other goal. And really, it's not that hard to find happiness. That is why it is enough to replicate the part of our brain that reacts happily. If happiness is one's main goal, then one does not have to suffer much for it, this form of feeling can be obtained by taking drugs. Happiness cannot be our main goal, it should not be. Our goal may be to preserve the existence of our species. Preserving species is obviously not an easy task. There are many obstacles in front of us. From environmental degradation to poverty, even the depletion of solar energy, the Big Crunch (or any other death in the universe) - everything can be a cause of destruction for our species. We need to enrich our knowledge in order to be safe from all these consequences. Our goal should be to move science forward. A major obstacle to the enrichment of knowledge is irrational prejudice, mental ignorance and the mentality of not accepting new ones. In order to move science forward, it is necessary to increase the scope of knowledge as well as to overcome all the obstacles of knowledge.

I think running after happiness is irrational, stupid, meaningless. I am not willing to run after happiness, but I am against using happiness for my needs and for the welfare of the human race. Happiness increases our work efficiency. Again more happiness also reduces efficiency. The proportion of the mixture of all emotions that maximizes one's work efficiency should be used. And the ultimate goal of all of us should be to protect the existence of our species.

We sometimes think about it without knowing it. Human feeling is something that has no definite definition, such as love.

And the ultimate goal of all of us should be to protect the existence of our species.

So how important is it to think about what our life goals should be?

Much of human life (actually thinking) is still unexplained. Because, we know very little about our brain. It is not a limitation as a human being, but uniqueness. Sir's Coptronic Inspiration seems to be a story where a group of robots rebel against humans and build their own civilization. But as soon as the work is over, there is a mental breakdown in them. The only reason is that they do not have any thirst.

That sea, we don't know about the brain now, but we will know one day. But you said the rest is good. Maybe happiness and survival are our goals.

After achieving the goal, a kind of happiness is created in the mind of the people and seeing the people who have reached the goal creates confusion in everyone else and in that case they also set a goal and start the race, some of them reach the goal and some new people see its implementation. Runs anew. In this way everyone runs after happiness (behind the goal), some are happy to get, some are unhappy not to get.

That's how I feel!

But I can't accept happiness as the main goal and running after it

Good thing. Now present to the open-minded readers an objective example that has been shown as "happiness is the main goal". We want to know if there really is a goal that any ten free-spirited readers will recognize that goal as the "main goal of happiness" as you describe it.

Note that if an example is not an objective example, it will not be accepted as an acceptable example. If you want to sell Magur fish as boiled fish, buyers will definitely object. Thanks.

I don't understand what the secretary meant by neutral. Suppose a (fictional) scientist doesn't like his work, so he quits his job and becomes a cook, because he is happy when he cooks. It’s actually an example of an episode in the House MD series, but I’ve noticed this kind of attitude in many. Isn't that what happiness is all about?

That is, the observer is an objective example whose existence can be confirmed without any affection, dislike, or personal opinion, meaning that which is objective. For example, you freely wrote an article called ‘Goals’. Now no one's personal opinion is needed to prove its existence because now anyone can find your article only by visiting the first page of Muktamana. Objectivity is so important in science and rationalism that no one can call a cat a snake by saying that he imagines it to be a snake.

Now let's come to another context. You wrote,

But I have noticed this kind of attitude in many. Isn't that what happiness is all about?

How do you make sure that this type of attitude = happiness is the main goal here?

What other purpose can be canceled? Is your statement free from various misconceptions in this case?

If happiness is one's main goal, then one does not have to suffer much for it, this form of feeling can be obtained by taking drugs.

My idea is that no one can get all kinds of pleasure by taking drugs. And no matter what kind of pleasure he enjoys, the reason for such pleasure is artificially created and this pleasure should never be confused with normal (or conscious) happiness. By artificial I mean the chemical used from outside through the drug, although the feeling may be close.

Of course, this statement does not change your original writing. What changes is this: Happiness found in a normal way but not in any way harmful to all human society.

Let me explain a little more.

Happiness is not our only controlling feeling. There is sorrow, anger, fear etc. with him. The scope of how to find happiness is also quite complex and much of it is genetically determined. For example, once humans killed animals, their numbers dwindled drastically. Then people have learned to protect them with a mixture of feelings of apprehension etc. Someone's happiness protects them, someone's happiness kills them. So these two types of happiness and other feelings together create a balance.

I think running after happiness is irrational, stupid, meaningless. I am not willing to run after happiness, but I am against using happiness for my needs and for the welfare of the human race. Happiness increases our work efficiency. Again more happiness also reduces efficiency.

You seem to have made it too easy. Good or bad or what is important to human society: not all of our actions are determined in this way and the judgment of good and evil is relative. Everyone has their own conscience. If you do anything against your conscience in a normal way, an uneasiness will arise and your happiness will be hindered. As the murderer gets happiness by killing, you will not get happiness by killing.

That is, we have to think about our own conscience with logic. If that is true, then there is no problem with gaining happiness.
