Who does not love lasagna? No matter which cuisine we opt for, lasagna is something that is liked by everyone. As we know that it is an Italian dish that is composed of various ingredients that all together give it the taste which we all crave for. I've been to various restaurants and tried their lasagna. Some bake really good while others bake average-level lasagna. Overall I am not much satisfied and I don't think they do justice with the taste of it which it actually deserves.
What if I told you I have an easy and yummy recipe after trying which you will not stop licking your fingers and long for more lasagna. YES! my read.cash family today I am going to share my most popular and much-praised lasagna recipe. Although it takes a little more time but I promise once it is ready it will be worth the time and effort.
No matter how frequently I bake it, I and my family members never get enough of it. So let us get to the part where I share my secret lasagna recipe with you guys.
Ingredients Required:
Butter
All-purpose flour
Milk
Cream
Cheddar Cheese
Mozzarella Cheese
Salt
Red Chillie flakes
Black pepper
Italian seasoning or oregano
Tomatoes
Oil
Onion
Tomato Ketchup
Red chili sauce
Green Chillies
Lasagna Sheets
Boneless chicken
Ginger garlic mix paste
Soy Sauce
Lemon juice
Mushrooms
Olives
Steps to follow:
White Sauce:
First of all, we will prepare the white sauce. For this, take 3 tablespoons of butter and put it into the frying pan, and melt it at medium flame. Once it is melted, add 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour in it and stir. When flour attains a light brownish hue add milk to it and keep on stirring. Add some cream and grated cheddar cheese to make the sauce. Don't stop stirring. In the end, add salt, red chilies flakes, black pepper, and oregano. Our white sauce is ready. Dish it out and set it aside.
Caution: Milk must be at room temperature. Do not add cold milk otherwise, it will lead to lump formation.
Tomato Sauce:
To make tomato sauce or what I call red sauce, take 2 to 3 tablespoons of oil and put it in the frying pan at low flame. Add one small finely chopped onion in it and stir till it becomes light golden. Add tomato puree of 3 tomatoes in it and stir. After 1 to 2 minutes add salt to it. Then add one and a half tablespoons of red chili sauce and a similar amount of tomato ketchup in it. Keep string and when the sauce becomes thick, turn off the flame. Our red sauce is ready. Dish it out.
Chicken Tikka:
To prepare chicken tikka, we will first marinate the chicken. In order to do so, take boneless chicken and add salt, red chilies flakes, black pepper, garlic ginger paste, soy sauce, and 2 tablespoon lemon juice. Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes. Put a little oil in the pan and add chicken to it and cook it at low to medium flame.
Lasagna sheets preparation:
Boil some water and add one teaspoon of salt and 2 tablespoons of oil to it. Then put the lasagna sheets and cook until they are ready. Once they are soft and ready, strain out the water.
Layering:
As all the ingredients are ready. It is time to set the layers. First of all, apply a little butter or oil at the base of the utensil so that lasagna sheets don't stick to it. Then spread lasagna sheets, white sauce, red sauce, chicken tikka, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat the same steps again. On the top of the final layer put some mushrooms, olives and sprinkle some Italian seasoning or oregano. Bake it in the oven for 4 to 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
