What if Filipinos did not fought for Philippine Independence?
This is only MY Opinion.
For the past many years, the Philippines has either been a colony of, or was colonized by three other nations: Spain (1565 - 1898 BCE). The United States of America (1898 - 1941 BCE) Japan (1941 – 1945 BCE).
There were many historical events happened in Philippines starting from its discovery by other country which is the Spain, likewise the country who colonizes and bring the Filipino people to sufferings or agony or if I termed this it is for me a dark era, down to its Independence.
Many Filipinos dies for their beloved to achieve its independence like our heroes Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio and many popular and brave warriors physically, mentally and socially, many Filipinos suffers under colonizers, civilians are killed without reasons, raped, treat like a slaves without salary, getting their properties and many more.
So, why we should not fight in that many reasons? If our fellow Filipinos did not fought for our independence the sufferings of our ancestors will be deemed into nothing but rather than failure. If Filipinos don't fought for its freedom and alllow the colonizers take the land maybe theres no Filipino now, because I think colonizers will sentenced every Filipinos to death or even be their slaves, what a sad life. Likewise, maybe the Philippine country did not exist now because for sure colonizers will change its name according to their desires and also Filipinos will never can tell or thie so called their own country.
Eventhough, in the present time or era the countries that colonized Philippines was now a very wide and prosperous country were they standing into the highest peak of the nations ecomy it can't guaranteed that if we let Phippines colonized by them it will be also prosperous, or yes maybe prosperous but, the question is, where is the Filipino in that? Or there will be still have Filipinos?
Our country is very rich in cultures, farmlands, character, landmarks, cuisines, animals, spices and other many valuable things and likes. If our fellow Filipinos do not fought for it there will, no such thing a country that we can say for FILIPINOS that Philippines is my country/nation I am a Filipino.
For me, it is right to fight for the freedom and souverinity of our OWN NATION. Nevermind with the prosperity, what important is we have our country to be needed to prosper
by us as a Filipino, not by other countries. Filipinos are resilient, everybody, we can do it. Is that the only problem is the leadership and implementations of laws and regulations.
The colonizers will just be a colonizer what remain by them in our country is the some of the cultures, religions, and the dark history of their colonization. We must be happy to have our country, Not controlled or ruled by other nation. We must be proud and be thankful to those who offer their blood just to get our freedom. We must not doubt our or sell our freedom. We can change our nation as well as the world, not the physical world itself but how we think the world is. Therefore, delete you are what if is in giving the nation for the colonizers. Think of all sacrifices and sufferings of many Filipinos during the war for independence. Be a Filipino not a foreigner to your own nation!
