Well, Chinese New Year is approaching, and usually it was a unique festive celebration if you are in a Chinese cultured society. It is also called Lunar New Year marking a first new moon and this year February 01, the first day of Chinese New Year
Hence, I will give you a bit of glimpse why during chinese new year ORANGES IS ABUDANTLY sold.
1. WHAT IS THE SIGNICANT OF ORANGES TO CHINESE CULTURES?
Oranges has a significant value during Chinese New Year, It symbolize GOOD LUCK AND GOOD FORTUNE
It is also given to a family members, friends and acquintances for well wishes.
2. PUSSY WILLOWS:
It symbolizes PROSPERITY AND GROWTH, and its height must be similar to a person height.
3. FLOWERS:
Flowers during Chinese New Year is a popular bloom during this season,as its symbolizes Purity Fertily. Like Chrysanthenum and French Marigold.
4. Ang Pao or Red Envelope
Red packet among Southeast Asian is a monetary gift that given to any special occasions, like birthday, weddings, and especially during Chinese New Year.
WHY ANG PAO IS RED?
Red is a symbol of good luck, happiness and life.
