Good morning my virtual friends. How are you today? Was your night good?
I am feeling great and full of energy.Today I will write you something about our pets.I have one small dogie and four cats.
So lets start.......
Many of the owners notice that their furry dogs often lick them. There are several reasons for such behavior and these vary from situation to situation. What do dogs love to lick? Well, some call it affection, some call it purely biological phenomena, some call it inherent nature and many have their own answers. The truth however is a mixture of all these reasons.
Dogs usually lick certain parts of our body, most commonly the face, feet, ears, and hands.
Why do dogs lick their faces?
The reason why dogs lick your face is love and joy. Mostly dogs by licking their face show that they love you and you are an extremely important person in their canine life. For most dogs, facial licking is an indispensable part of the welcome when we get home from work or wherever we go.
Why do dogs lick their mouths?
Most by licking their mouths, dogs try to show that they are hungry and want food. They develop this behavioral pattern as puppies when they try to show new owners that they are hungry. Of course, most puppies retain this trait and use it as an indicator for various other sensations as well. Whether it’s just hunger, the puppy wants your attention, or he just wants to show his love for you, in any case, with that behavior, he maintains a connection and mutual love between you. However, the dog can lick us because he is under stress and feels nervous. By licking, he tries to warn us of this and seeks refuge in us. Our task is to try to remove the puppy from the stressful situation or things that trigger nervousness in our puppy as soon as possible.
Why do dogs lick their feet?
This behavior is related to their curious nature and desire to explore. They only develop this at a young age and persist throughout their lives. Also, the hands carry information about where we have been, what we have been doing and what we have all touched during the day, which of course interests our curious dog furry friends. By licking their hands, they consequently learn more about us and our daily routine, and thus also maintain a connection with us.
Why do dogs lick their ears?
For puppies, our ears are among the most interesting parts of our body. Dogs lick our ears for three different reasons. The first reason is hygiene, dogs have taken care of their siblings since their youth. They licked each other's ears and cleaned their ears, and here is the reason why they lick our ears. Of course, that doesn’t mean we have dirty ears, but that our canine buddies do out of habit. The second reason, though it sounds weird, is that our puppies simply like the taste of our ears. The last reason is to simply express the love they feel around us. We often notice that when we come home, in addition to wagging our tails, we also get a wet kiss on our ears. By doing so, dog hairies show us how much they missed us and how much they love us.
Of course, it depends on the situation, what a particular dog licking means. In the vast majority of situations, puppies want to show us their joy and the love they feel for us. It is crucial, however, that in the event that puppies warn us of their distress by licking, we try to eliminate it as soon as possible and protect the puppy.

I love pets, especially dogs. But I don't like it when a pet licks our face, hands are fine, but not mouth, ears ... Have a nice day! Love pets, they are our most loyal friends!
