Botox - Yes or No?

If a woman is not made up, with a tidy hairstyle, elegantly dressed, slender and without wrinkles on her face, she is simply not attractive to a man, there are frequent clichés, which fortunately are also challenged by men.Namely, men focus their attention on parts of the body to which ladies may not attach much special value or significance, and they are often attracted to even small but charming shortcomings, such as laughing wrinkles as men love to watch them at their darling, wrinkles around the eyes give a woman a special maturity and appearance of happiness, they believe.

Men and women rarely talk about it, but they invest in their appearance almost both sexes equally. This trend was first started by actors-actresses, and later joined by athletes-athletes, politicians and businessmen. The number of men opting for certain aesthetic procedures is increasing day by day so that they feel good in their own skin. Botox is definitely the one that helps them with this.

When it comes to any aesthetic interventions, we humans often have misconceptions.

WHAT IS BOTOX AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Facial rejuvenation with botulinum toxin (“botox”) is today the most common procedure in plastic surgery. With Botox, we can very effectively refresh and rejuvenate the upper third of the face and consequently the entire face in a minimally invasive way. The contraction of the muscles in the face forms wrinkles. Wrinkles can be dynamic (these are visible only when using facial expressions, and are to some extent also desirable) or static, which means that they are already present at rest. Botox prevents the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine in neuromuscular contact. Thus, the muscle cannot contract and is temporarily weakened.

FOR WHICH PARTS OF THE FACE IS BOTOX MOST COMMONLY USED?

Botox is most often used to correct dynamic wrinkles between the eyebrows ("eleven"), wrinkles around the eyes ("rabbit paws") and horizontal wrinkles on the forehead. Botox injection has a short-term effect, t. j. reduction of wrinkles (and consequently a fresh, rested appearance), as well as a long-term effect, as regular injections prevent the wrinkles from deepening.Botox can also be used to correct a smile when the upper gum is visible when smiling (i.e. gummy smile), or to correct small wrinkles above the upper lip (in this case, Botox is combined with dermal fillers). Botox can also correct vertical wrinkles on the neck (i.e. platysmal bands), which are the result of excessive contraction of the neck muscle (platysma), as well as other muscles on the face.

Botox can also be used to reduce excessive sweating (expertly hyperhidrosis) in both the palms and armpits. Heavy sweating can cause psychosocial distress and avoid socializing. By making several small injections of Botox into the palm or armpit area, we reduce the function of the sweat glands, which are responsible for secreting sweat. In medicine, Botox is also used in neurology (treatment of spasticity in children and adults and certain types of headaches), in proctology, urology…

IS BOTOX REALLY "POISON"?

Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. Poisoning with this type of bacterium can cause botulism, a condition that causes paralysis of certain muscle groups. Botulism is an extremely rare poisoning. This type of bacterium produces eight types of toxins, type A is pharmacologically processed and registered for use in aesthetic medicine. The word "poison" and the consequent fear when using Botox is completely unnecessary.

WHAT ARE ITS EFFECTS,WHEN DO THEY STAR TO BE KNOWN AND HOW LONG DOES THE EFFECT LAST?

Botox begins to work 4-7 days after injection. The effect is gradual, but is full within 10-14 days. The effect of Botox lasts 4-6 months and also subsides gradually. This depends on the use of facial expressions: first, the effect of Botox is reduced in places where facial expressions are most often used (usually around the eyes). When the effect completely subsides, the condition is the same as before the injection, no worse.

HOW LONG DOES SUCH AN OPERATION LAST? IS IT PAINFUL?

The procedure is performed in an outpatient clinic and lasts up to 30 minutes. Pre-clean the face with saline, mark the injection points and inject Botox in standard amounts. Use the finest needle to make the injection virtually painless. Most often, Botox corrects wrinkles between the eyebrows ("eleven"), wrinkles around the eyes ("rabbit paws") and horizontal wrinkles in the forehead.

Botox injections are chosen by women who want a more relaxed, fresh, youthful appearance, while still wanting to look natural. Botox is very effective in rejuvenating the upper part of the face. The best time to start the injection is very individual. Women opt for it when wrinkles on their face start to bother them. They also often complain that acquaintances ask them why they are in a bad mood or tired, even though they are not.On average, women opt for Botox after the age of 30. Most women continue to inject Botox on a regular basis and also say that injecting Botox is a routine concern for themselves - just like visiting a beautician, hairdresser or masseur.Botox injections are often combined with dermal filler injections. With a combination of both, we can achieve an even more youthful look and an aesthetically consistent face. The effects of Botox and the effects of tissue fillers are completely different, and many people do not distinguish between the action of these substances. Botox smoothes dynamic wrinkles caused by the use of mimic muscles (laughing, frowning ...). Tissue fillers restore lost facial volume and / or fill deep wrinkles, which do not depend so much on muscle function, but more on sagging and aging of the face.

Does Botox affect more women or men? Maybe the share is the same?

Botox is definitely used by more women than men. However, interest is also increasing among men. Men also like to feel good in their skin and like to look youthful and relaxed! This can raise their self-esteem, which - as with other aesthetic procedures - is linked to success in life. With knowledge of facial anatomy, knowledge and experience, we can also achieve a natural but more youthful appearance of the upper third of the face in men by injecting Botox.

Where is the line between a healthy acceptance of aging and a desire for eternal youth?

The line between a reasonable acceptance of aging and the desire for eternal youth is very individually conditioned. The way we age is influenced by many factors: genetic predispositions, lifestyle, diet, sun exposure, smoking, stress, etc. - and we cannot influence everything. We also cannot stop the aging process.Aesthetic procedures can rejuvenate the face for 10-15 years, but aging continues, not only on the face, but also on other parts of the body.

Aesthetic interventions do not turn ladies into their thirties, but help them in a way to mitigate the irregularities or consequences of aging, which burden them to be satisfied with their appearance and with themselves again.

Most celebrities as well as women above uses this botox injection to get younger. In fact, I don't like this botox injection. I prefers people with natural face rather than the face getting botox.
