Bananas are one of the most popular fruits in the world because they taste great, satiate us and are extremely nutritious. They are also easy to take with you to work or on the go and have such a healthy and nutritious snack. Fortunately, they are also not expensive.

They can help you control your blood pressure, lose a few extra pounds, improve the health of your gut, and protect your eyes. Bananas are extremely tasty as they contain the natural sugars sucrose and fructose which give the fruit a sweet taste. However, they are rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber, making them a healthy part of the meal.

Bananas in particular have a higher amount of vitamin B6, vitamin C, manganese and potassium. The average banana contains 467 milligrams of potassium and only 1 milligram of sodium, which protects us from atherosclerosis. In addition to protecting the health of our heart and blood vessels, the potassium in bananas protects the health of our bones as it reduces the amount of calcium we excrete through urine and prevents accelerated thinning of bones over time.

Like any other fruit, the nutritional value of a banana changes as it ripens. As the banana ripens, it becomes increasingly dark yellow, and the level of antioxidants, which protect our body from cardiovascular disease and cancer, increases. According to the latest research conducted in Japan, a fully ripe banana that has dark spots on its peel, provides the maximum amount of TNF (tumor necrosis factors) - cytokines that fight abnormal tumor cells in the body by stimulating the production of white blood cells and helping to communicate between them. So the more ripe the banana, the better. Then it contains more substances that strengthen our immune system and more anti-cancer substances. In fact, it is even the case that bananas with dark spots are eight times more effective in improving the function of white blood cells than green bananas. Research conducted on ripe bananas has confirmed that TNF prevents the growth of tumor cells and their spread. So instead of throwing away a banana that has already gotten black spots on the peel and assuming it is already rotten, eat it instead. At that time, it contains a whole range of nutrients that can protect your health from many diseases.

1. Heartburn Bananas protect against heartburn as they are an alkaline fruit. This means they neutralize the acid in your stomach and can help you get rid of the heartburn and burning sensation in the spoon.

2. Energy The potassium in bananas protects your muscles from muscle cramps, while the carbohydrates in bananas provide your body with enough energy for a good workout. That is why bananas are also a great food that you can eat before exercise. Banana releases energy slowly, so it will help you maintain a high energy level for longer.

3. Anemia Bananas contain high levels of iron, so they can help prevent anemia. With the help of iron, they stimulate the production of hemoglobin, increase the level of red blood cells and contribute to better blood circulation throughout the body.

4. Stomach ulcers Bananas are almost the only raw fruit that can reduce the acid in the stomach and thus make a coating on the lining of the stomach and protect it from increased irritation. Bananas also contain protease inhibitors that reduce the damage caused by bacteria associated with the development of stomach ulcers.

5. Constipation The fiber in bananas helps move stool through the intestines to make it easier to excrete during digestion. At the same time, they protect the health of our gut and help with better digestion.

6. Stress and anxiety Bananas contain tryptophan, a substance our body needs to produce serotonin. Whatโ€™s more, the potassium in bananas helps improve brain function by sending more oxygen to brain cells, while vitamin B calms the nervous system and helps improve mood.

A quick banana diet that melts pounds

A key rule of the banana diet is to eat one banana for breakfast along with one or two glasses of lukewarm water. If this is not enough for you, you can eat two, even three bananas (always have a glass of water with you), but not more than four. Breakfast is the only meal where tolerances are allowed.
Other meals should be smaller, lighter and more frequent. Donโ€™t stick to established patterns (lunch, dinner). Meals can be 5 or more (every 2 hours). It is important, however, to drink water all the time, and you can overdo it with a cup of unsweetened coffee or tea.

Choose your main meal, which should be at the same time throughout the diet. Then you can afford a "lunch" according to this recipe: 2 tablespoons flax seeds 150 grams of blueberries 1 banana 1 tablespoon grated ginger (fresh is best) 1 handful of spinach 1 glass of water

Mix all the ingredients (except water), and you should drink this smoothie as slowly as possible, but never less than 20 minutes (that's how long it takes the brain to register the eating process and thus reduce the feeling of hunger). Such a smoothie has all the necessary vitamins, fiber and protein that the body needs throughout the day.

If you still canโ€™t do without treats, you can indulge in some dark chocolate (as many grams as you weigh in), but only before 3 p.m. The last banana meal should be before 8pm, although it is ideal not to eat anything after 6pm. In case you feel too hungry after a few days of dieting, eat a handful of fresh fruit, but only exceptionally. Don't get in the habit.

Insist in a strict banana regimen for at least 7 days, and no more than 12 days. Then you must finish the diet for the body to recover.
