Im not interested in competing with anyone.

Life is not a competition

And yes, I believe in that and make it one of the principles in living life. It is true that everyone has different principles of life because there are many influencing factors (eg family background, education, friendship, location of residence, and many others). However, is having the principle of not competing in life is the right choice?

Often we compare ourselves with people out there. With colleagues, with acquaintances in the campus or work environment, with family members of the same age, with neighbors, and many others. It is human nature to always compare between two or more things, weighing which one is more weighty, to find out which one is more successful. However, can things that are considered weighty or successful only be judged from the external or physical achievements? Certainly not.

If you're used to comparing yourself to other people who seem to be above you, why not lower your head and gaze once in a while, or look back. There are many people out there who are not as lucky as you. Those who don't have the convenience of modern facilities like the internet or as simple as a cellphone, those who don't even have a penny on them most of their day, those who don't even have money to think about clothing because they also lack for food. Or if you still feel not satisfied enough, try to look at the reality, many people your age have even returned to the Creator. How? Feeling a little calmer?

Maybe the Creator is actually giving you the opportunity to be able to see things more clearly and calmly. By not rushing through life, you can see all the good and bad possibilities and can calculate them more precisely than when you feel you have to hurry.

good things take time

In fact, life is not just about competing with other people. In fact, the only one you can think of as a competitor is yourself. The side of you that doesn't want to move forward, the side of you that you think doesn't meet the requirements to be you. They are the ones you should be trying to beat, not always creating a competition that actually doesn't exist.

Instead of always comparing yourself to other people's achievements, try to be focused and confident in every decision you make. Don't forget to always involve the Creator in every step you take, to ensure that you are always on the right track and not out of line.
