There is no natural selection for happiness, decide to make a choice

The realization that we are headed for a very tough time is not an overnight fear. We may inflate our non-active expectations so much that it feels like each day is getting harder and harder to get through. We will be faced with situations where we need to make choices every day. Even deciding to do nothing is an option, though not the most productive.

The world gives an illustration that life is like a race. Although it is not only about who wins, but always connotes who is able to do something first. A shriek fact that it turns out that we can't be completely separated from anything in the world -including all the competitions in it.

However, there is an even more basic reason for "doing things first," namely "how important is it that we do all of that?"

Now our minds are racing and perhaps the most confusing paths we will encounter are crossroads. We don't really know where the path will lead, wrestling with the complicated issue of which option is the best to make; money, spouse, friends, education, career, hobbies, and so on. Money does bring happiness, but only up to a point, and after that point it doesn't have much meaning. We also understand very well that there are so many precious things that we cannot save, such as time and opportunity, so why is it so hard to achieve something that disappears almost as quickly as it appeared? We can choose our partners, friends, and neighbors, but they can also choose to leave us. We believe in the premise that marriage is the creator of happiness, what if happiness is what causes marriage? We will have a hard time swallowing the fact that the only limit is our own ignorance.

To make a decision on choice, we need to ask ourselves what is the purpose in life and know all the ignorance.

Begin to stop attaching our hopes to the material conditions of others because we need to do a logical analysis in order to find the values and goals we want to achieve. An illustration of this is, a person dying of thirst in the desert would be willing to spend millions of rupiah just for a glass of water, but for him who is relaxing sitting in the living room while eating meat sandwiches, what is the meaning of a glass of water? Sure, water is water, but its value varies greatly depending on what we need. it's about valuing what's valuable to us.

In this case we need to make a choice ourselves. Considering other people's opinions is needed to provide knowledge about the situation we are in, but we can't ignore the fact that someone's opinion comes from the value they get, and it's not necessarily relevant to how we feel because someone's assessment of something depends on what they need. Furthermore, it is not enough just to know the goal but need to clarify it, what do we want from the decision to be taken?

We also need to be aware of the wrong act of comparing, to judge how valuable something is to us, the only comparison we can make is how it relates to our ultimate goal.

Then, what kind of decisions do we need to make?

Several things are important considerations before making a choice, we first need to understand that our decisions affect more than just ourselves, but affect the people around us as well. What we decide will influence the actions, behavior and opinions of others.

So, making a choice is not only about what we will get, but also about what impact it will have at least for the people closest to us. We are an open book that someone reads, regardless of how others perceive it, we have the power to influence them by what we write, what decisions we make.

Another consideration that also needs to be considered is measuring the importance or not of the decision to be taken, of course, it is adjusted to the main objectives. what often happens is that we spend our time making decisions not based on how important they are, but on how difficult they are. These are two very different concepts. Difficult decisions are not necessarily so important especially for yourself. We need to save energy for more important decisions – decisions with very different payoffs.

We may not always meet with good decisions, but the only thing we have and control is the decisions we will make, how will act and react to different situations.

Because life offers no guarantees. We never know that a decision will be right or wrong until we make it, we may also take a lot of risks. This is definitely better than keeping ourselves in trouble. While it's true that one wrong turn can lead you astray, it can also be an opportunity for adventure, let alone opening up more paths. It's all a matter of perspective.

We have a choice between being a lost traveler or a living traveler. But be careful not to make arbitrary decisions. Taking risks is not about being careless and stupid.
