Overcoming negative thoughts
If we are currently regretting the past, thinking badly about the future, blaming others for our fate, or maybe blaming ourselves, all negative thoughts like gathering in our minds, making negative emotions, regret, sadness, hate and even anger, it becomes difficult to be happy, if indeed we are having difficulty dealing with negative thoughts.
I think there are several ways to deal with negative thoughts.
Negative thoughts are negative perceptions, expectations, and descriptions of oneself, others and the world in general, these negative conditions are followed by negative emotions that have a negative impact on behavior and even health.
It is easier for negative things to come to the brain, and difficult to turn into positive, we are easier to shift the way of thinking, perception and positive emotions to negative than vice versa.
The process of overcoming negative thoughts is not easy and requires a strong commitment.
° Challenge negative thoughts
When we are being controlled by negative thoughts, ask ourselves where the negative thoughts come from.
° Take distance from negative thoughts
We must have experienced repeating a bad event, I think we must have the initiative to decide on it, if it's difficult, just let ourselves be lost in these negative thoughts, but give a time limit, for example five minutes after that immediately switch to other things , and restrain ourselves from falling again in the negative thoughts earlier.
° Write a gratitude journal
our attention as humans is more inclined towards negative things, sometimes we really have to force ourselves to remember positive things as a balance, we can do this by writing down the things we are grateful for today in a journal, take some time before bed to write a list of things things we pay for.
° Focus on our strengths
Negative thoughts will lead us to focus on our weaknesses, we must be able to fight this by starting to shift the focus towards our strengths.
We can develop some new habits in thinking to fight negative thoughts that come.
