There was no light, no tunnel or even bells from heaven or hell. Alhough the place Adam Sanders, went, wasn't empty. He remembered the voices. Light and faint. Slithering in the air like a snake's tongue.

The words they spoke were odd. Not English or any language he had heard before. Where his eyes failed him through the never ending array of black mist that traveled beyond his eyesight, his ears did not.

Adam couldn't see the speakers of the faint whispers. He could feel there presence and it was powerful. They spoke as if they were ancient beings looking upon a mouse that scurried out it's hiding place. He, being the mouse of course.

Suddenly the black mist began to part from side to side as if something was moving through it. Being rushes at, Adam was defenseless. He was swept off his feet by an invisible force. Up into the oblivion of madness of rushing fire, he went.

His eyes widened as he observed what he could only explained as a burning Cosmo of colors. Bursting stars and waves of bright red, green, purple and green seemed to rush toward him in a wave of chaos as a voice spoke.

The voice was faint or didn't float like a breeze,it was loud and heavy;one that demanded attention. Adams breath quickened as his heart race like a beating drum as cold sweat protruded from his body.

Afraid for his life and sanity,Adam yelled into the eternal Cosmo of choas,"What do you want from ME!!!" Hovering in the depth of darkness began to speak, with every word making Adam's eyes widen in terror....

Two years later,

Carl's headache was getting worse as he began shielding his eyes from the blinding lights of every passing car on the interstate. Twelve hours without coke was beginning to take it's toll on his sanity and on his senses. Though he had promised everybody those days were behind him,Carl fully knew that the sinister urge would win in the end.

Pulling the car over to the side of the road,Carl turned the CD player on as he became a rodent scavenging through his glove department for a tylenol bottle. Feeling around,a smile appeared on his face as his fingers locked onto the bottle.

Pulling it out he quickly twisted off the cap as car lights passed by him like shooting stars. As the top popped of he dug in,not for pills but the baggy inside it,drawing a line on his finger he began inhaling the powder through his nostrils.

Drops of rain began to slowly hit his windshield as he rubbed the remaining powder across his lips. Storing his baggy in the bottle and returning it in the glove department;Carl laid back in his seat.

It appeared listening to the raw power of drums in the Messugah song seemed to quicken his high as Carl felt his body go limp and his brain melt as his eyes focused on a reality that wasn't even there. Then like an explosion from a gernade the car flipped to its side as Carl's head hit the rooftop.

The windows on both side erupted into shards of tiny little daggers cutting his face as the machine tumbled out of control;the windshield crackled as it began to split down the middle. Coming to a complete halt among the base of a giant oak tree, all four wheels were up in the air as Carl laid in a bed of glass as the speakers of the car continue to blare metal music

A groan of pain escaped his mouth as he tried moving his left arm, probably broken Carl thought to himself as he looked around outside in the dark. Nothing but woods and the steep hill his car tumbled down, but by what? Then suddenly like a deer struck by headlights,Carl froze as he stared straight into the eyes of someone else.

Wedged between the oak tree and his car was a naked man covered In blood, his cuts deep and wide as red stained his grey bushy beard. He had no emotion on his face as he stared back into Carl's eyes not blinking once.

Carl nuzzled his way out through his back wind, bracing his left arm against his chest as he kept his eyes on the man. Rain began pouring heavy now as even the stars and moon weren't even visible.

The nude man didn't even turned his head nor did his eyes move, they remained focused straight ahead. Crawling on his stomach toward to man Carl tried not to alarmed the man as he spoke softly.

"Sir...are you okay, how badly are you hurt?" Suddenly like a statue taking on life, the man's head turned toward Carl. His pupils were odd Carl noticed diluted but they weren't responsive almost as if he was blind. Then the man spoke as bloody saliva drooled from his hoarse voice,"He..He said you would be expecting me."

Carl looked confused by the man's words as he wiped rain from his eyes, still trying to focus Carl replied,"Who told you,you would be expected?" The man remained quiet as a voice behind Carl bellowed from the darkness,"The Prophet.."

Startled by the voice Carl turned quickly to see a giant of a man wielding a sledge hammer looked down at him. Helpless,Carl tried standing as a second figure emerged from the woods and thrusted the butt end of a hatchet across his face.

Carl's vision went sideways as his face landed in the mud, half concious he felt a force slowly drag him in the woods. His blurry vision saw the naked man being picked up like a child and carried into the woods with him....
