"No,my husband is due back any minute now." Frank was surprised as he responded in the same tone,"Really! what's he doing out in this weather at night." Suddenly laughter erupted from the woman as she grabbed at her sides, confused by her he just smiled in bewilderment.

Catching her breath, she looked over at him and spoke with a chuckle,"Do you believe everything you hear...i have no husband." Frank lost for words just nodded with a smile as he tried to veer away from his stupidity.

"By the way I'm Frank..Frank Dever's." The woman nodded as she took another swig of her tea, saying in a swift tone,"I'm Aloona." Well at least he knew her name,Frank thought as he grew more comfortable in the chair.

But as his eyes became heavy,a portrait over the mantle of the fireplace caught his eye. It seemed to be a periodical oil painting of a woman dressed in a black cotton dress, which matched the hair pen that drenched down a chain headdress across her forehead. A black ruby eyepatch covered her left eye,she stood in front of a large Victorian mirror;her expression cold as she held a silver pocket watch down her crossed arms.

The resemblance was a little uncanny between the woman in the portrait and Aloona."A relative of your's?" Frank question brought a suprise jolt from Aloona as she got up from her seat, setting the cup down on the mantle.

Then grabbing Frank's cup and doing the same thing as she answered in almost a whisper,"My mother." Frank curiosity was peeked as he asked,"Where was it taken?" But Aloona didn't answer as she walked over grabbing him by the arms, his body went stiff from the warmth of her fingers.

He didn't budge as she tried pulling him up,then with a glee smile;she spoke in a playful tone. "You're too tense, loosen up..you need rest,i will tell you the story when you wake." Frank notice her accent faultered her words as she got him from the chair and led him to the back room.

There a cushioned mat made of feathers laid on the floor accompanied by a large quilt made of sheep wool. Aloona, bent down helping him out of his boot's and reaching up unbuttoning his shirt.

Overwhelmed Frank decided to keep his pants on as he laid on the cushioned mat as she covered him up."Isn't this your bed,i don't want to impose on you." Shaking her head, she smiled running her fingers down his face,"I've slept enough." Then blowing out the candle next to the window, she walked out of the room;leaving Frank in the dark.

A fever dream erupted inside of Frank as he felt his body falling down a deep dark hole. His body erupting in pain as he plunged into a frozen lake, clawing to the surface with no attempt of success.

Suddenly he felt the will to give up and watch as his body slowly descended deeper into the frozen abyss. Then just before he lost concious,a hand reached down;grabbing his and lifted him from his watery grave. Peering up from the murky water,he saw it was a woman;her black nails dug into his forearm like talons.

One swift jerk,Frank found himself emerging from the cold waters and face to face with his rescuer. He was astonished as he gazed upon the woman in black, the woman he had seen in the portrait in the shack. Her pale skin shined brighter than the moon itself as she held him above the water with just one arm.

Like a fish on a hook,he wiggled to be free of her tight grasp as she pulled him closer to her. Her eyes black as space as blood was smeared around her eyes like mascara and her lips bluer than any ocean.

As his face grew closer to hers,he could feel her breath;colder than the winter breeze as she spoke into his ear with a deep growl. "Once you fall into the rabbit's hole...there's no coming out." Before he could ask her what she meant, her grasp on him slipped as he dropped below her,his body prepared for the cold plunge that never came.

Instead he found himself atop the bed,he had fallen asleep in and Aloona at the foot of it. He was silent with confusion as she began to undo the straps of her dress, swiftly it fell to the floor like a rose pedal.

Her whole body was exposed, from her firm breast to the strip of her pubic hair;her hair was down to her bony hips. Slowly she crawled onto the bed like a spider, crawling toward a helpless fly.

As she drew near,Frank observed several tattoos along her side, all were of tribal markings he had only seen in books. A large one ran across her chest above her breast's like a thread of tiny symbols as one large on across her left thigh.

She grabbed his belt, sliding from it's loop as she unbuckled his pants, the intensity had Frank's heart pounding like a drum. Suddenly he arose up to say something, but Aloona put two fingers over his lips to silence him as she removed them only to place a kiss there instead.

Her brown almond eyes had him hypnotized as he resisted no longer as she climbed ontop of him. Laying back,he enjoyed the ecstasy that laid before him as she leaned back and forth on his erection.
