Have you lost your mind?" Stacie responded. She easily saw how Kellys eyes sparkled.

Stacie also thought about how hard Kelly had had it lately. All the times Kelly felt nauseous. The times she stayed up late to study for tests. How hard she worked on her makeup every morning. Even saw how Kelly had struggled adjusting to Batesville life these last couple of months.

"Ok Kelly, but don't ask me to do anything else like this again...... And you owe me big time to." Kelly embraced her friend tightly and smiled. "You got it," she said.

That night, the crowd of people was outrageous. Having gotten there before everyone else, Stacie and Kelly were already in line as the first people in.

There was a huge, dark corridor before them. In the distance, you could hear something scrape across the walls. Kellys heart in particular pounded ninety to nothing.

An old lady had taken their ticket. She explained that they would be the first people through and noone would be allowed in until after they had completed their walk-through. Scared-Stacie had asked why. The old lady had responded and said it had something to do with being the first customers of the year, and certain privileges went along with it.

"Lucky me," Stacie thought to herself sarcastically.

There were no lights on. The walls were gray and splotched with what looked like red ink. Both girls wore high heeled shoes. Each step they took click-clank could be heard across the floor.

"Kelly I'm ready to go!" Stacie said. "This shit is ridiculous."

Kelly looked at her friend incredulously. "We haven't even entered yet Stacie!"

Real tears dropped down Stacie's face. "I don't care Kelly. I hate stuff like this."

They were hugging each other as they made their way down the dark opening of the house. Ten seconds later, a door magically slammed shut behind them and both girls screamed bloody murder. "GET ME OUT OF HERE," Stacie screamed and cried. Kelly was excited and sooo into the moment. Stacie (not so much).

After several moments, both girls regained their bearings and continued forward.

Farther into the house, something above and overhead kept dropping from the ceiling. It seemed like drops of dry wall. Several pieces landed in Kellys hair and she was temporarily upset. She poured lots of attention everyday on her looks. Stacie never got hit.

By the time they made it to the end of the building, it was time to go upstairs. There were four flights of stairs. They had to go up to the second story. The steps were old, metallic, and rusty. They rounded upward.

Both girls had to cling to the side-railing with two hands as they climbed. Once in a while you could feel the walls vibrate with growling sound vibrations.

Upstairs Kelly and Stacie found themselves in a hallway. The walls were a dark jungle green stained and tore with age. It was rather wide.

When all of A sudden....
