When she walked forward, Kelly saw movement out of the corner of her eye. She squealed in fright. She turned around to exit through the entrance door and found it had been locked from the outside. "Goddamn it," she admonished heatedly, kicking the double doors. Turning around, Kelly stomped through the first floor and made her way up to the second floor. She tried to remember her experience the first time around so she could get through to the third floor faster and achieved her goal rather well. Kelly made it up to the third floor in record time and then stopped short in the hallway. The clown she saw the first time around was there and once again was looking at her. He was standing next to one of the doors. Obviously, Kelly concluded, this guy's job was to scare the customers on the third floor. The clown tilted his head to the side and just stared at Kelly. Kelly wasn't afraid, somehow, obviously knowing the clown was just another part of the act. He looked Kelly in the eye. "I remember you bitch. You had a friend. Kelly felt her cheeks go hot and her hands go numb. Heart beating fast, Kelly took off back down to the second floor in obvious terror and scrambled through one of the first doors she could find. She locked it behind her and found she was in an empty room with no furniture and hardwood floor. She ran over to see if she could open the only window in the room. It wouldn't budge. She cursed herself for leaving her cell phone in the car. "Little Girl," a deep voice echoed across the second floor landing. "LITTLE GIRL!!!?" Kelly's heart nearly stopped. Bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang. On and on it went. One hit after another against her door. How does he know I'm in here? Kelly asked herself. She had her hands to her ears. The bangs got slower and louder. The clown was trying to break the door down. Kelly tried as hard as she could not to scream in horror. She backed into a corner and waited. She kept her hands against her ears but could do nothing about the pounding of her heart. Just then she remembered her taser. She reached into her side pocket and pulled it out along with the knife. Suddenly the banging stopped. Kelly could finally take a deep breath. She leaned against the corner of the wall and slid down until she was in sitting position. The clown had killed my best friend, Kelly realized. She cried then. Cried because she hadn't been there to prevent the clown from killing Stacie. Cried because she missed her. She briefly thought about the police. Thought maybe she could report the guy. Kelly stayed in her position for a long time. At some point she fell asleep. When she woke up, she looked around, temporarily disoriented. It was still dark and Kelly had dust all over her from leaning into the wall and lying on the floor. She pulled herself up to standing position and took her shoes off. The high heeled boots were no longer necessary as Kelly was not in the public eye and did not need to worry about her appearance. She went back over to the window and peered though. It was really old and very dusty. You could hardly see outside. Kelly checked and tried the lock. It wouldn't budge. Frustrated, she tip toed over to the front door. She undid the lock and slowly turned the doorknob. When the door produced a crack to peer through, Kelly stuck her head through. She couldn't see anything. Her heart was beating ninety miles an hour. She slowly opened the door and look outside. She saw the staircase and the hallway. She did not see the clown. She stepped forward and out of the room. She decided to forget about investigating and focused on the finding the exit door. She ran up the flight of stairs quietly and entered onto the third floor landing. When she walked through the doorway, she half expected to find the clown in his normal spot, but he wasn't there. She tiptoed through the hallway and found the door that led to the circular stairway the went up to the forth floor. She entered the dusty room and fought a cough. Irritated, she made her way around the corner and turned left down the hallway. When she got to the end of the driveway and turn right to hit the exit door, she didn't realize the clown had been following her the entire time and was waiting for her in front of the door. When she rounded the corner and saw him, he brought down his butcher knife and killed her her in one felt swoop.
