Memories....

Gone were the days when we never thought of anything as bad gangs.

When life was fun and exciting. All our daily routine was to go to school,eat,play,sleep etc.

Then,life was simple,free exciting and uncomplicated.

Gone were the days when we would run around the yard with only our underwear.

Gone were the days when we would play hard under heavy rainfall.

Gone where the days when we would race each other around with wheels pretending to be a car race.

Gone where the days when we would play mummy and daddy in an empty space and cook with sand and leaves pretending it was our local dishes.

Gone where the days when we would play hopscotch,tag,i call on and several interesting games.

Gone where the days when we thought the moon always followed us wherever we go.

Gone where the days when we would keep our hands inside our cloth and pretend we lost our arms.

Gone where the days when we thought anytime rainfalls and sun shines lion has given birth😆😆.

Gone where the days when we thought rainbows appear on the ground after rainfall.

Gone where the days when we thought we would turn blind when housefly perch on our eyes.

Gone where the days when would open the refrigerator and close it slowly to notice if the light is still going to be turned on.

Gone where the days when we believed if you whistle at night a snake would appear.

Gone where the days when we believed that anytime our parent or teacher would punish us we would remove our eyelash and wrap it up in paper and if they stepped on it they would forget. To be honest though i tried it and it worked😆😆.

Gone where the days when we would ask for white fingers anytime a egret flies by.

Gone where the days when we were always ready for girls vs boys quiz.

Gone where the days when we are always scared of the dark.

Gone where the days when we sing a song anytime an aeroplane flies by.

Gone where the days when our favourite cartoon was tom and jerry,teletubbies,cinderella,Ben 10 etc.

Gone where the days when our favourite biscuit was cheese ball,speedy,spicy,coaster etc.

Gone where the days when we never knew what death was.

Gone where the day when we would collect gifts,food in parties twice pretending to be another person.

Gone where the days when our birthday parties was always " is she the winner"," is he the winner".

Gone where the days when we believed everything will stay the same way forever.

Gone where the days when we never worried about expenses,we save money for christmas,new year and other festive period to buy new cloth for show off.

Gone where the days when our sunglasses where chic and classy.

Gone were the days when we buy promise card every christmas time ( mine was always a trip to Mr biggs,money and cloth and they always owe me😂😂till now i still remember some of my debtors😆😆🤣🤣🤣)

Gone where the days when "if you have not gone to tantalizer or Tasty fried chicken" you haven't t gone out.

Gone where the days when we would put much white powder on our face and pretend to be a ghost.

Gone where the days when we would fill a basin with water and pretend we are in a swimming pool.

Gone where the days when children knew what fun,friends actually was.

We were so young,vulnerable,fun,stubborn,loving,caring and to top it all we were always happy

We couldn't tell the difference between right and wrong.

We never had rules,no goals,no vision,no mission,we were not realistic we just wished for things we loved.we don't really select friends,we were our brothers keeper,we always get into trouble,we played prank on ourselves did all sort of silly things together

Those where childhood times. Childhood memories.

Memories that cannot be forgotten. Cant be erased. Memories that stays forever.

You know life is weird, 1st you wanna grow up,then you want to be a kid again.

Now we are old enough to differentiate between what is right and what is wrong,we set rules,we choose our friends,we act matured, we have selective movies, we are always acting big and tough,we start to act beautiful and the list goes on.

I miss my childhood days and i know some of you do too. You know what childhood and adulthood feels like.

Our childhood experience are always cherished,very special and we hold on dear to them. The memories alone gave us joy.

Thank God for those that are still with us. We pray for those that have gone. We wish for those that are not near us.

Here's to the ones that we got. Cheer's to the wish you were here,but you're not cos the drinks bring back all the memories of everything we've been through.

Toast to the one's here today. Toast to the ones that we lost on the way cos the drinks bring back all the memories and the memories bring back,memories bring back YOU.

I wrote this article to actually feel the excitement,joy of what its like to be a child. And I also wrote it to thank my childhood friends for making my childhood fun
