How to get Binance BNB Smart Chain for use on PancakeSwap
First, you are going to need a wallet. Supported wallets include:
Trustwallet (smartphone)
Metamask (browser based)
Safepal(hardware wallet)
Next, you will need some BNB - Specifically BNB Smart Chain.
There are multiple ways to acquire BNB and everyone has their preferences. I will start with the ways I get it then share what others use.
Buy it from Binance
Seems like the most logical approach, right? Just be aware that Binance holds funds purchased for 5 days, even if purchased with a debit card. This prevents you from transferring BNB to your wallet right away.
Purchase and Trade
So this way has multiple steps, but it is one that I use most often. Really all comes down to preference and what you are comfortable with.
Purchase Algo on Coinbase
Transfer Algo to Binance
Sell Algo on Binance
Buy BNB on Binance
Mine BNB -
Exchange Services
These services will let you exchange one crypto for another. Be aware they typically have larger minimum trade thresholds and fees can be hard to find.
Simpleswap (lets you swap direct to BNB Smart Chain)
Swapzone (lets you swap direct to BNB Smart Chain)
Once you have BNB, send it to your wallet. You may then need to swap it to Smart Chain for use on PancakeSwap. For Trust Wallet, you can do this by selecting BNB, then more, then Swap to Smart Chain.
This will convert your BNB with a bnb..... address to a Smart Chain with a 0x.... address.
