Happy Sunday everyone and I wish us a new week ahead in Jesus name. Most times, we pray and pray, some of us go to the Mountains, some travel to another place in order to seek God's grace, whereas somebody who just stood in a corner to pray to God receives answers to prayer within a twinkle of an eye, then those going to the mountains will start questioning God and be like "God, why me?" "Why would you choose to make this bad thing happen, afterall I prayed earnestly to you" etc but we forgot to remember something that "It is only by His Mercy"
Without God's Mercy, nothing can happen.
Something happened last week where I came for my teaching practice, my mum's friend was sick and at around 3am, she stopped breathing, we all thought that was the end, we prayed and kept asking for one thing which was "MERCY". After some minutes, she came back to life and we rushed her to the hospital, she was just in coma for a day and eventually opened her eyes and till now, she is responding to treatment. A woman who was also a nurse in the hospital said "thank God for Mercy" According to her, a woman was in coma for 14 days before she was alive, but this woman (my mom's friend) was just in coma for a day. Besides, some experience this kind of thing and are gone, but in His Mercy, He chose to keep this woman alive.
The Bible says that God Himself said that He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy upon. This means, God choose who He will have mercy on, no matter how you have prayed or what you have done, His mercy prevails. The good news there is that God never leaves His children alone and when we go to Him, He is going to be Merciful to such person. Something I keep asking in prayer is for God's Mercy because not everyone can open their mouth to ask for such.
God had mercy on us, that He sent His Son to die for us. Should I also shock you that it is those that God loves, that He can show Mercy upon. Mercy of God prevails over judgement.
A couple had an issues that almost claimed their only Son's life. It was in a revelation that God told the wife that He will restore all things back if only they can ask for Mercy of God. The woman did exactly as she was told and immediately everything was restored back to them. Mercy is so great that without it, there is nothing you can do to gain something.
Without having mercy on someone, will you even do something for him or her? I remembered everything my father had done to us, but I still pitied him and kept talking to him and most times, I send something to him. What if I was somebody so cruel and wouldn't have mercy on him, will he ever had seen the good side of me? But in all things, Mercy prevail.
When we keep praying to God, we should never forget one thing which is "God, have mercy". When God have mercy on you, everything will be in order for you and things will go smoothly.
Let's see what the Bible says in Matthew 9:13,
"But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous , but sinners to repentance"
God doesn't accept any Sacrifice other than Mercy. According to this verse, Jesus wants the sinners to come and repent so they don't end up spending their eternal lives in hell. His Mercy is what made Him say that He wants the sinners to change.
Just look at what is happening in this world, we ought to have experienced the rapture day because God is angry and about to blow the trumpet, but Jesus is our intermediary, interceding on our behalf to see if we would change our behaviors. Mercy made Him do this. God is waiting for us to see if we would change or not, don't let His Mercy become something else. We need to repent and return back to God. Ask for His mercy on all your sins and He is ready to accept you back. Mercy of God will prevail over our problems in Jesus name.
HAPPY SUNDAY
Mercy prevails over judgement. This reminds me of the song "Mercy said no" by cece Williams.
Thank God for his mercy over your friend's mother, and may he perfect his work
