It's Sunday morning here right now and I am here watching some great television segment about how to make a wise investments and savings.

I am having fun watching the host because of its sense of humor and he is a good and really a wise man.

In it's introduction from his television segment it catch up my thoughts. The questions and thoughts to ponder goes like "Are you fan of travelling?" It caught me because it was like same with "Are you fan of buying things not included in your budget?"

We can see usually an intensive and massive promos that could really caught attention by so many users. We can see it some other shopping applications that is commonly used and a well known online shopping application.

But the big question isโ‰๏ธ, are the products and goods we add to cart and purchases really necessary and important that could sustain our basic needs in our for a long term?

Are you a person who easily loves to travel and add to cart products, goods and services without thinking the long term importance of it. And if you have seen bookings with low prices and promos, you are easily driven to grab it.

When you see people who posted their travels, you too book a place to go quickly. When someone eat delicious and expensive foods, you easily grab your phone and one call the delivery rider quickly there to send your purchases.

What are the most common behaviors the reasons of our purchases, bookings and orders?J

  1. Band wagon. We tend to buy/purchase goods, products and services because others are doing it. Our behaviours were affected by the society because we feel that we are not the one doing it.

  2. Trend. We just go with the flow, we just want to be included in the trend. We buy/purchase unnecessary goods and products even if it's out of our budget. We want to be called as "in and trendy".

  3. Socialization. We urge to buy and purchase things because we are worried about what people think of us. We want to tell people that we can reach what others have eventhough it's out of our reach.

  4. HAPPY NOW, CRY LATER. We travel, buy or purchase without thinking the long term effects of our action. We just tent to do what we want and what makes us satisfied right now. We never plan the long term effect of our decisions and it's consequence later.

What are the things we must consider when purchasing goods, products and services?

  1. Savings. If we want to travel or buy goods and products, we have to plan ahead of time. If you want to buy car, house, lot or anything we have to save ahead of time. We save for our lifestyle, we save for leisure and we save for a better future ahead of time.

  2. Sort things accordingly To be able to sustain our basic needs and pay bills on time, we should sort and make a bucketlist of our monthly expenses. We have to sort out bills, basic necessities according to our expense. Let us try to label different envelopes and put their our different monthly expenses. In due time, all bills payment are all set and ready to be paid.

  3. Spare money. If you have a penny or money left from your monthly expenses try to save it in a piggy bank . Label different piggy bank for your travel, car or future plan for anything you want to buy. In due time if you have something and wants that you want to purchase then you have a spared money for it.

  4. Emergency savings. Let's also save for an emergency savings because we do not know what comes our way. It's not about being negative but it will helps us when we have money saved for this kind of situation. So that we can't be able to borrow money from anyone.

  5. Plan a travel ahead of time. It is important to plan your travel ahead of time.Even if you got cheaper promos and cheaper price of accomodations but you have to consider when you travel you have so include your expenses in accomodations, food and allowance, and your transportation back and forth.

  6. Pay bills and basic neccessities first.Make sure when you travel you have to ensure all of your bills and basic needs has been settled and secured before you travel. Nevermind travel just because you had found out some promos and accommodation yet it's not included in your budget.Travel when necessary, if you had already spare and saved enough money for your travel, then you're ready to go.

  7. Lifestyle. Spend according to your lifestyle and according to what you can have. Never spend for something that you know in the end you will just regret.

Desclaimer: It is not an expert advise but an insights that I have learn to do. I know it is not easy but I have to learn doing it

I was once a victim of these low fares. Glad that we booked it in January and the travel is in November. Along the months before November I was able to book early the accommodation thru credit card. After paying that I booked again tickets for the places we wish to visit. By the time November arrives, all I need to pay for are our meals and bus fares. I can say: never again. ๐Ÿ˜
