New Year's Eve

It's a great opportunity to be thankful to God that I still have the chance to celebrate the New Year's Eve and still come to life until this year 2022. I am so grateful to God how I survived all the journey in year 2021. This day I will share to you some tradition we usually do during New Years Eve.

Welcoming new year is not new to us, here in Philippines we accustomed some tradition and superstitious beliefs in the celebration of New Year's Eve. In our country and some countries it was tarditionally celebrated. But in our country, I will share to you some culture and beliefs that we use to do.

Preparing 12-round fruits and Rice, Egg and Gold Coins on a plate. Filipinos would try their bests to complete the 12 different kind of fruits on the table for media noche because we believe that it symbolizes prosperity, good luck, and good health the entire year. The round-shaped fruits symbolizes money or coins, while the 12 symbolizes the whole year.

These are my kind of fruit that I have place in our table for our midnight feast. I have apples, oranges, marang, papaya, grapes, kiat-kiat, mangoes, pineapple, rambutan, banana, avocado and melon. Hope it will bring good luck for our family.

Fipino also put some rice, egg and gold coins on the table that symbolizes prosperity a, good luck and abundance for the coming year and wealth.

Media Noche for Dinner Feast. For our New Year's Eve dinner feast we prepare different food on welcoming the new year like chicken barbecue, ham, , macaroni salad, sweet and sour tilapia, barbecue tilapia, buffalo wings, crabs, lumpia, Shrimp, oysters, barbecue and spare ribs.

For our desserts we have cakes, mango float, fruit cake, leches plan and egg pie. It is very important for each family to be reunited during this day, it is the time of reunion and thanksgiving for the abundance and blessings we received the entire year.

Money for Superstitious New Year Luck

Make sure you never empty your wallet, put some coins on your pocket, the more coins you have the more good luck it will be. The mpre it will sounds on your pocket, they say good luck will come to you.

It is also believe to never pay bills on New years day because you will pay bills the entire year. It is a good luck to start the whole year with debt free.

Welcoming New Year is an important part of the tradition. It is the time of Thanksgiving and Reunion of families throughout the world.
