Gratitude

In Philippine culture, gratitude is a trend. If someone has given you a favor, you need to view that gratitude. Juan welcomed Peter to his home when he had just arrived form other province. Peter is expected to show gratitude. Nicholas stayed awake for Petra's children's project when they were still in elementary school. Now that they have finished their studies and have a job, Nicholas still hopes that Petra and her children will show at least a little gratitude.

Now the question is, should or shouldn’t we be grateful? How far should gratitude go?

I heard an acquaintance say that ‘once you are invited to a party, even if only noodles are ready, you will be grateful for it forever’. Unlike other nationality who when you do something commensurate with the favor or kindness done by someone is okay, Filipinos will be remembered for what they have helped. Most Filipinos just hope to be rewarded for their good deeds.

I also heard someone say ‘why are those who have been helped even mentioned’? This situation is different. The man like this was heard recounting his techniques so the children were able to graduate. The hearing child of the person who educated, supported and sustained his children did not like it. The son of the man who had really helped his children so much could not bear it and it responded. There was an argument and resentment of the person ‘taking the initiative for the children’ as well as its children.

When mentioning what someone has helped is important. If a book does have an acknowledgment, so must the person being helped. Gratitude is important in any way. It is even better if gratitude is shown in deeds and not in sweet words. They are enough as gratitude.

Others do not want to criticize those who have been helped. Right on the one hand. Because if someone is going to help, it must be done voluntarily and not expecting any replacement. But on the other hand, it is important to go back to the people who helped and express gratitude, not in material things or money, but in the love and respect that should be given.

It is worth remembering that in walking the path to success there are people who are sympathizers and helpers. No one can succeed alone.

Hello read cash family, hope everyone here is doing fine.
