After the death of the biggest fighter in the Koni village, the responsibility lies on the shoulder of his newly born child but nobody knows if he would be able to carry the weight just as his father did.
[Thank you for reading. Please if this is your first head over to "Arrow Of Death" that is the beginning of the story. Thank you]
Years passed, and Zulu's child, Zuko, was only 11 years. His mother, Telu decide he go for training just like other children his age. When he got there he saw many boys and girls his age... A lot of them feared him as they whispered and mumbled, saying that his father was the reason the culture existed. All the children refused to fight with Zuko, even though he had never practiced before. The teacher walked in and smiled.
"Master, we bow!" All the children echoed as they bowed their head.
Zuko was trying to understand the form of greeting and mimic them as quick as possible when the teacher noticed him. He called him to his room and asked him to sit down.
"Your father was my friend, " said the teacher with the biggest smile.
"I did not know my father." Zuko Immediately said.
"Yes yes. But you look just like him... You even walk like him and I believe you would be better than him. Zuko so much rests in your shoulder, my son. And I'm here to guide you."
"How did you know my name? Mas...ter"
"Son, I was there when you were born." He said as he laughed and sipped his hot tea.
They went out to practice and as they practiced Zuko kept failing, he could barely even hold his arrow.
"More practice!" Moreeeee practice" the teacher said.
"Sons and daughters, gather Zuko...fight!!!!" The teacher said as his students gathered him, fighting him.
Zuko knew how to attack, defend but couldn't do the most important thing... Bow and arrow.
As long as the village lived, this meant trouble. His teacher had to have extra classes specially for him and yet he didn't know how to do it. He made a friend called Gaj. Gaj was very playful. He would come to his house and play with him.
Years passed and now Zuko was 17 years old and still didn't know how to shoot arrows. His mother feared, knowing the penalty of his inability. She didn't want her child to die. His master was very disappointed in him. He would often call him negative names. He gave up on him along with other people that tried to teach him.
The death of Zuko was almost predictable as he, himself already gave up on himself but the way everything was about to be transformed? You would not believe it.
What would you do if you were Zuko?
