Now let's discuss about computer technologies ..
Well step step by step I will explain all ( the types or generation of computer ) for now let's discussed on the computer technologies
Computer is mainly and currently decided into 3 technologies
Desktop
The above picture is desktop computer
Why we call it desktop? Well it is called desktop bcz it consumes the atleast space of a desk
Means it is that technology of computer Which we can use above /Top of desktop that's why it's name is desktop
Laptop
After desktop they realized that desktop is not portable means we can't use it while traveling etc and it was a serious issue if we carry desktop from one place to another.
Bcz of that issue they launched laptop means a computer which we can operate at top of our lap
The first laptop was launched in 1981 by Adam Osborne in 1981 and it was $ 1795 in cost
Palmtop
The palmtop is latest technology of computer and as you can see in figure above we can easily use it at top of our palm of hands like a smart computer ;)
The first palmtop was invented in 1989
