This box has the original P&G trademark Moon and Stars with the "HORN" and the "inverted 666". This trademark got P&G accused of Satanism, and they changed the logo to avoid controversy after a legal challenge. (see www.businessinsider.com/pg-puts-moon-in-new-logo-despite-satanist-accusations-2013-5) The box was in a Christmas gift basket for my Girlfriends Grandfather, who retired from P&G in the '60's (date not certain). I do not know what the original contents were, and the box was eventually given to her children, and then remained in the family for years. It has some wear and tear, and the kids put some stickers on it. It does have some wear and tear, and I do not know it's actual age or manufacture. The dimensions of the box are 5-5/8 inches wide, 3-1/4 inches deep, and 4 inches in height. It has a brass hasp lock, and a silver master lock with a key. The hasp and key may not have been original, but I have no way of knowing. The inside of the box is ideal for 3x5 index cards, or recipes. The box is solid and structurally sound, with scratches and dings. The bottom panel is made of lighter colored wood, which may be intentional. I have not cleaned the box or "restored" it in any way. I cannot verify the story, except that her mother validated it as part of a Christmas holiday gift basket, and the Procter and Gamble Logo with the horn is historically accurate from what I have read.
